That wreck is HMS President (1918). One of only three Royal Navy ships surviving from WW1 and part of the National Historic Fleet. Very sad to see her in this state. She was berthed at Blackfriars in London until 2016, when she was sold into private hands and towed to Chatham.

The double yellow lines mean the council can issue a ticket for parking on them which means it's a public highway, so saying you have to go past the roundabout is rubbish.

Hey DJ, great video, just some info for you.... In 2019, the Peel Group announced plans to close Chatham Docks by 2025 and redevelop the site for housing and commercial use... So it's good you've made a video now.

Chatham docks are world famous for the amount of ship building they did. They still have the longest ropery in the UK as far as I know. It's still worth a visit.

Great video as always this is the place where they film call the midwife and a James Bond film and raiders of the lost ark have been filmed here they have open days there too taking you back to how we used to live years ago 1950s days interesting place nice. I used to collect and deliver baled waste paper around Kent to Wimbledon with a 30ft trailer, Commer TS3 Rig. I was sent to Chatham Dockyard to collect a load. Then it was Royal Navy, in the early 6Os. There was a warehouse/garage full of loose paper and cardboard. How was I going to load and transport that on a flat-bed trailer. I told the Admiralty Civil Servant in charge that he was taking the p!ss, and drove back to the depôt empty.

I have been on HMS President. It was owned by a Enterprise trust. Someone, used to live in the bridge house. It was too expensive to repair and was moved in 2016.

Lots of docks have public right of ways.years ago I would go fishing of a dock you just walked past the gate house and start to fish and they can’t do a thing about it .there part’s of the Thames where the foot paths have been blocked of with locked gates

The buildings with the blue tinted windows aren't hotels, they're actually private residences, and most of the buildings to your right while filming is student accommodation for the local universities. I really wish I'd known you were coming to Medway I would have come and got a keyring,
