Stupid as this sounds, but I never thought to import an arrangement reference into my DAW like this. So thank you. Subbed 👍🏻

Nice vid man, could you please make a video how to analyse a reference track (i.e were the kick hits, level matching or stereo field analysis and so on...) it is more to know how to make my track sound more professional using professional reference tracks, I hope you know what I mean. Btw are you using the DT880 or 990? cheers Daniel

Thanks for watching man! Sometimes it can also get dangerous when 'analyzing' reference tracks visually, with SPAN or a spectrum analyser. Personally, I prefer to use my ears and try to hear how much the kick is punching. Remember we don't want to COMPARE to our reference we are merely using it as a guide. This is something that is sometimes difficult to teach over a video because the skill is developed in practise. However I do know what you mean! Stereo field analysis and level matching reference tracks is another video I could consider also, so good idea on those ones :) I use the DT880 250ohm headphones, they're quite bright (which you do get used to) but sonarworks reference 4 flattens them out nicely when I need them to be flat!
