to me falling in love with a shadow is falling in love with someone emotionally absent, someone distant, someone who maybe doesn’t reach out to you all that much. you wander around trying to accidentally stumble upon them but all you see is their shadow sometimes

I entered the video randomly. I was looking for calm music. After I finished, I read the comments out of curiosity, to be shocked that everyone is living like a reality, falling in love with a person who is a figment of imagination.

Currently reading a book where the main character is not allowed to see the face of the love interest and can only perceive him as a shadow. This playlist is incredibly fitting, thank you :)

And as I died, I did not wish for a different ending, for I was buried beside the one I love, and I would pass away knowing he loved me too.

The song played at around 52 minutes in reminded me of a poem I had written about 2 years ago. I love that poem dearly, I would like to share it, but I fear it will be stolen. So, I will keep my dreams of the stars to myself.

Some shadow people are definitely worth falling in love with. Some demons are FIERCELY protective of those they love. It is good to have powerful friends and lovers. My shadows are angels and lights to their loved ones and only demons to our enemies.

Falling in love with a shadow is such a good title. Perfectly fitting, but not for literal reasons but rather as in falling in love with someone who is like you, then loosing that person as they haunt and follow your memory forever. =]
