I started watching you a couple of years ago. I started a savings account by paying myself first after you explained the necessity. Then a major medical problem occurred. I had a use most of my savings but would not have survived without it. Then started paying my utilities the month b4 they were due. This gave me a lot of peace. Now I am trying to build savings again. You have helped a lot of people. Thank you!

I am from Brazil and almost all the people love the mentality of shop till you drop but they never pay cash. The result is the vast majority is broke simply because they don't budget. I want to say from the bottom of my heart that I LOVE your channel and you are much more than an influencer, you are a real Professor.

Amen to a NEW PLAN. I had to reprogram my mind. It didn't come overnight, it took a while for me to understand how to manage my money. I read books and asked a lot of questions. Now I save, budge, invest, and enjoy my life even more.

Growing up my elders always told me to live UNDER your means. Easier said than done right? But they were right. Self discipline is super valuable but you must also reward yourself. The pursuit of happiness is worth it. There are tons of things, most of them simple, we can do that are fun and cost nothing. Thanks for posting and sharing.

A word! If you know a store is a fav or a weakness, “don’t browse their store for fun.”

There's nothing wrong with an objective assessment that we were once "bad" with money that's why other channels emphasize the value on how to become "good" with money. We're learning after all. In order to reframe our mindset, we need to accept first that we actually need "reframing" after acknowledging we were once "bad" with managing or handling money.

Excellent video! No more is my budget simply in my head, but now it is written down. Likewise, my budget, is done in the beginning of month and adjusted if necessary as the month goes by for any major interruption.

For sure shopping is entertainment for me. I have opened 2 credit cards for the discount and pay them with cash. This is potentially dangerous for me because my husband doesn't know about these accounts. I don't need anything and in fact have no room for more clothes. I need a different hobby for sure.
