a letter to a stranger,
hey - hope you are doing well :)
this past year I had the opportunity of taking a year off of school to pursue my passions and it's been one of the most uncomfortable, yet fulfilling times of my life.
it's always been scary going against the grain and part of me still believes that what i'm doing isn't right.
But at the end of the day there is nothing else i would rather being doing and that's all that matters.
Love you guys so so much

I wish I had videos like this popping up on my home page when I was 17 lol. I’ve taken two gap years, and both were the best decisions I’ve ever made. That being said, those years were also the loneliest and most confusing years of my life, but it’s funny what happens when you just keep moving forward, past the fear and insecurity, aimlessness, & fomo. Excited to see where 2022 takes you!

that feeling of uncertainty that revolves around a gap year is literally what I'm stuck in currently, it's proven to be quite a new and alienating experience so far, thank you for inspiring me :)

@@Eladtiv I didn’t end up doing the gap year after all. But to answer your question, life works in weird ways. After joining college, I started working a full time job building a KZfaq channel to 500k, I started my own company, had over 10 employees at one point, worked with the biggest creators and so on… my point isn’t to brag, but to tell you that those uncertain years where I’d envisioned so much eventually started becoming reality when I worked towards it. Every stage is necessary, don’t ever stay paralysed in fear, I’m sure you’ll achieve the dreams that you have. Go and get it mate, all the best 🙌

I know that I am a complete stranger, but I've just started my first year or uni and I have no clue yet what I want to do with my life yet, so it been mostly a mix of feel'n lost and a little lonely at times. I totally felt that …. I’ve been floating for so long now, there are so many things i want to achieve but I literally can’t focus. Live goes by in the blink of an eye and I feel like I’ve wasted so much time already. Thank you for the video it’s really an inspiration 🙏🏽and a motivation to get my ass back up 😂

hey! i don't know where you are now! but I hope that, just in case, if you're still floating through life feeling like a bystander than an active participant of your own life, that yes, you'd try to get back into the momentum of a routine again. but also, most importantly, that you validate and give yourself the space to fall, to feel confused, to have time to process all the emotions you're feeling instead of rushing through them because you feel you need to be "put together". life is more than perfection, and getting it right. sometimes the joy (as cliche as it sounds) is staying in the present. and sometimes that may look like sticking through the really tough experiences with grace and empathy towards yourself! hope you're well! much love from singapore :)

I really enjoyed your video, it's really comforting to hear you felt like floating too :) I am on my gap year and the feeling you get it's like... you are responsable for you and there are moments where you feel confident and independent, but I feel like the majority of time you feel a bit lost, alone, wondering how you should manage your time or if you are doing the right things. It's a very interesting sensation... floating :D I really couldn't have expressed the feeling better 🌸

I have to say that i'm in this community for a year or sth and i've never seen yours videos on yt and now i see how much i lost bc of that xd I'm 19 years old and i also took a gap year but before i started collage. The term "floating" is so accurate tho. In about few months i will have to search for a university again and i didn't figure out anything by this time. I've been thinking my whole life what i wanted to do and who i aspired to become but I was to late to realize now that my life is really messed up ..... i dont know who i am anymore, and what i like to do Everything looks and feels indifferent to me in the past i wanted to end it all and now those thoughts have returned to hunt me again... But I want to change...and i was thinking about doing this "gap" I'm really scared actually... but I still want to try. I want to get better and this video helped me So, thank you!

I am currently in the floating stage of my Gap year, but I enjoy it. To be honest I don't want to go back to the prison of structure. For the past half year I was deciding after my gut feeling and it has been the best decision yet.

I'm exactly in this situation rn. This year I had this opportunity and I took it. Now, a few months later I'm crying in my own room cuz idk what I should do with my life. don't get me wrong I don't regret the decision I made! (I'm 100% sure I'd be worse if I was in college💀😭) I just haven't found my path yet but ik I will. sooner or later, I will find it. Btw I found this video by accident and I'm so happy abt it. Tysm🤍
