Great reaction Dave, I did see Carole live once in the early 2010’s/teens. It was at Caesars Palace. It was glorious. Has she stopped performing? She’s 82, the Stones are still going! Hopefully you will get to see her. I saw Bobby’s list. I’ll add the woman that was named the person who created folk/rock. Sandy Denny. Along with Eva and Karen another gone way too soon. With Fairport Convention and the song Who Knows Where The Time Goes. You will melt. I didn’t know much at all about Eva and Sandy. Carol King, Neil Young, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Jim Croce were all a part of the golden age of the folk/pop/rock genre of music. ~ Dax, I recently saw a video of Chicago playing _25 or 6 to 4_ at Tanglewood in 1970. It was _25 or 6 to 4_ as I always imagined it could be. It had a hard, rock-and-roll edge to it highlighted by a two-and-a-half minute solo by Terry Kath, who absolutely discards any considerations of “production value.” When asked how it felt to be the greatest guitar player in the world, Jimi Hendrix reportedly responded, “I don’t know. Hi Dax, I’d like to ask you to react to another Tori Holub song. This is more recent and is with her collaborator James Wilkas. He’s doing the engineering this time around. Tori is simply singing the lead and backing vocals. There are full credits at the end of the video, so you can see who did what. The song is “We’ve Only Just Begun.” I’d love your take on it. Since we last spoke I attended the Carpenters 55th Anniversary Celebration. Tori was one of the invited (and youngest) vocalists to perform on Acoustic Night. I recorded her performance and it’s on my channel. On the last night Richard was a surprise guest and interviewee. After which some dignitaries and Tori were whisked to a back room for some time with RC.
