Amazing! If you manage 300w for 4min you are in good fit. And an untrained average person may manage 200w or so. Yes, the weight and size matters of course. I am in the beginning of my cycling preparation for the season and will soon try my 4min result.

@@jaredfontaine2002 Are you racing there or training? at 7000ft you will have an initial drop of 7% in aerobic efficiency but a 21% reduced aero drag. I went to British Cycling seminar hosted by Simon Jones, he stated that when tested most BC athletes tested would actually decelerate on the bankings and would put the power down on the straights. British cycling were trying to counter that.

Wow... comparing a time from the Aussie 1993 team pursuit to Fillippo’s individual Pursuit in 2019 Ever thought of technology advancements? Training advancements? I reckon if the 1993 Aussie team pursuit had the same technology they would absolutely smash that. Oh wait, what’s the current world record for the team pursuit? 3:48.012 Which you know is a fair bit faster. Not taking anything away from Fillippo, but comparing his lighting fast time to a time from 1993 doesn’t seem right. Let’s see Fillippo or someone get under the 4 minute mark. Once seemed impossible for teams but easily done now...

This comparison won't work for a number of reasons: 1. Unless you are a dedicated time trialist, you won't be able to put out your maximum power over 4 minutes in the required aero position. 2. Unless you are a dedicated track rider, you won't be able to put out your maximum power at the required cadence of at least 110 rpm. 3. Unless you have practiced starts, you won't be able to start fast enough. 4. He's doing like 1:06 for the first kilometer, which beats almost all amateurs just doing a one kilometer time trial.

You're an idiot who knows nothing about cycling. This is track, where pure wattage matters. Where W/kg ratios' don't matter because theres no extra resistance due to gravity on the climbs. There's no climbing in Track, you're angled sideways at a slant so gravity only works forwards, meaning its essentially a series of downhills.

If they made a 25mm disc he would be better off with that. The rear disc serves to reattach airflow disturbed by the front of the bike. I don't think skinnier is better in back . If someone made a 30mm rear disc I would be curious what happens to net drag. Same for 30mm wide deep carbon rims and pave tires - which would be a slam dunk for sales to bike commuters who want a fast bike and want more tire for potholes.

@@sasquatchrosefarts to set the hour record or the 4000 meter record, the experts do not use as you say unfortunately, because the experts find that they are the fastest tubulars in front of 19 mm and behind 23mm, the bike is very thin therefore behind thin disc wheel with 23mm tubular is enough
@sasquatchrosefarts
