Hyundai is really on their game when it comes to EVs. I also really like the way they have chosen to allow each vehicle to have it's own styling. If you don't like this one, well there are others that are completely different.

In some markets the Ioniq 5 does have a heatpump as an option, much prefer heatpump as standard in all markets.The frunk could take a L2 charge cable particularly in markets where the L2 chargers aren't tethered unlike the US.

I already own an IONIQ 5 and was ready to trade it in for the IONIQ-6 which gets more mileage or so I thought. Went to purchase the IONIQ-6 SEL model and found out that the SEL and LIMITED get the same mileage as the IONIQ-5 (305 miles). Only the SE (lowest class) gets the 361 miles. It only has 18in wheels, which are not very attractive in my opinion and cloth seating. Not sure if Kevin is driving the SEL or Limited in the commercial but it does not get 361 miles. Be careful when purchasing.

I’ve been following TFL for a very long time but I’m getting more confused by videos coming out lately like this one. Is this a review? Someone’s first impressions? Or, is it as the title would suggest (at least to me), a range test. I clicked expecting a range test and that’s just not what this is. Constructive criticism would be to title the videos in a way that would let us know what the video is about.

It's amazing, and hilarious, that Roman has not figured out yet that the reason voice commands never work for him is that HE'S the problem. The guy will push a button, ask a question, and then continue to talk while the mic is still active. Of course, voice recognition hears everything he's saying which confuses the system. Like a car is supposed to know when to stop listening because some idiot keeps babbling on and on and on and on.

Same base price as a 2024 Dark Horse Mustang! IDK, if going the EV route there's something to be said for going with Tesla which is becoming ubiquitous. Being more common will help with repairability. What good is a $200k electric car for instance if nobody can fix it and nobody has parts like bumpers, doors or body panels not to mention batteries!

Darn I was actually hoping they would come in under the Model 3. When it comes to everything that comes with the Model 3 rwd, it is still the leader in this class by at least a quarter mile. For 42500 you get adaptive cruise, lane keep assistance, heated seats and steering wheel. And that’s before the $7500 tax credit. The comparable Ionic 6 would be in the mid 50s with no credit.
@mgarcia8878
@mgarcia8878 Жыл бұрын
The base SE rwd starts at 45500. That doesn’t include many options and gets you 361 miles. The SEL rwd for 47700 gets you a few more options like lane keep but the mileage drops to 305. The limited rwd for 52600 gives you all the bells and whistles but you are still sitting at 305 miles in range. Is this really a Model 3 killer. For months and as recently as Feb we were all lead to believe by Hyundai that the starting price would be 41k. What happened?

@@mattbrew11 Every manufacturer raises/lowers their price based on the economy. That's not what D Vader is talking about. Many people (myself included) aren't car buying experts and don't know the magic things they need to do/say to actually get the car at MSRP. No matter how you slice it, the Tesla is better in every way. * More hp - 149 hp (is that a typo?) vs 271 * Better performance - 0-60 in 7.4 seconds, versus 5.8 * Better range - 246 miles versus 272 * Slightly cheaper * Qualifies for the $7,500 tax credit and whatever state tax credit you have * You're GUARANTEED to actually get the car at the price expected (I've read stories of people paying $15K over MSRP for the Ioniq 5/Ford Lightning, etc) * Has the Tesla super charger network * Has a 15 year head start making EVs, which means less issues all around If you're a tech nerd and like having the newest toy, sure, go for this. But for the average shopper, is there a compelling reason to spend $7,500 - $15K more (Oregon has a $7,500 state tax credit as well) on a car that in every aspect is worse than a Tesla?

I am a four door sedan kind of guy. I do not like SUV's. The SUV is the modern day station wagon. I didn't want a station wagon abck in the 60's or 70's and I still don't. I would prefer the Ioniq 6 over a SUV any day. ANd WOW 361 miles of range on a god day, that's awesome. I live in Ohio where we still have winters and I know it would be less during cold weather, but 361 miles is great.

Good. Now test its range in, say, North Dakota, during cold winter weather.

What happened to this car starting at 41k? Outside of this not being a Model 3, this is not a price killer.

I like how it looks, but it’s already outdated compared to the 2024 Sonata that was just revealed.
