I used to have a Gerber multi-tool as my every day carry. One day I had a car accident and was brought into a hospital. Two nurses came into the room to change the infusion needle of the guy laying next to me but they couldn't do it. I was laying there, watching them, still in my work clothes and with my multi-tool in my pocket. I whipped it out and asked "would that help?". They took it and were very grateful. Felt pretty good.

Hell, I'm a woman and I EDC a folding Kershaw AND a Leatherman. I'm constantly loaning out my hedge trimmer. As far as tackle boxes go, did you know that the iconic '90s Caboodles cosmetics organizers are just pink plastic tackle boxes? The company was founded by a dad who realized a tackle box was what his daughter needed to organize all of her lip glosses and mascara. So my tackle box is a sparkly pink Caboodles. It's still a tackle box, dammit!

I prefer a swiss army knife. Bought mine in Switzerland 20+ years ago, and still carry it. As for tools? Yes. Only thing I don't... no, I have wire strippers I just never use them because my pocketknife is faster. Tackle box, though, could go either way, depending on what you have that needs sorting into tiny containers and how. I have one for electronic components, but for screws I'd rather use a set of shop drawers. Nothin worse than having that box get shaken up and all the screws come out of the compartments, and now you've got a screw loose. Really, though, reminds me I need to find a set of JIS screwdrivers.
