I am so impressed with the young man. Back when I was a teen-ager, we had a cattle auction right near us, and I just loved to hear them call and chant. Absolutely loved this video!

Back in the 1960's in our town, there were two brothers who'd auction off the cattle. They'd each take turns, Ron for 45 minutes and then Ray for 45 minutes. Back and forth and so on and so forth until every cow was auctioned off. Over the radio you'd hear the radio guy talking about the auction and in the background, you'd hear one of the brothers auctioneering.

I'm a mechanic and my team leader (20+years ago) did estate auctions on the side. He'd never do it in person but he gave me an instructional cassette tape. I always respected those guys and just love the sound. Great video!

They're amazing. You don't hear much of these auctioneers getting an award . I was at a Home Furniture auction when I was a boy of twelve years in 1966 , in Croydon , Melbourne, Australia. The guy was very fast in his talk, rumbling away ,selling furniture and some electric items.I had a great time. Even in cowboy movies , you don't see auctioneers selling cattle like these guys do. Thanks for sharing.

I always looked forward to the Portland auctions, especially the horse auctions my Dad took us to. One thing I do *not* remember are the _dainty_ hand gestures from the auctioneer. That was enough to make me barf !!!!

I remember that as a very little girl we went to an auction in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - Amish country. 🙂 It was a livestock auction and I remember being immediately fascinated by the auctioneer! I still love listening to them at auctions! Young Blaine has a real gift for it and it's awesome that he went on to win the National championship! 🏆🏅
