It was a sign definitely , 3 years later they met in Super Bowl 51 with New England Patriots making one of the best comebacks in NFL Super Bowl history coming back from 25 down and forcing OT To win 34-28

I was at this game. Lots of fun and the second to last game I watched at the old Georgia Dome. It was tough getting up to go to school the next morning though lol. At least my team got the W. Definitely a strange one with the Patriots nearly blowing a big lead late before clutching up with a late stop. Gotta marvel at the level of respect that Bill Belichick had for Tony G. They straight up double-teamed him in the redzone. No fancy coverages or looks, just an old school "put 2 guys on him and hold him at the LOS". Shows how much of a beast the guy was.

I like how the Patriots eliminated the blue side pannels on the white jersey, but everything else is a downgrade. The Falcons unis imo are worse, though they weren't great before either. I'd like to see them make their black throwbacks the full time uniform.

One of the few dominant games Brady and the Pats offense had in 2013. Crazy how he's a better quarterback now than he was 8 years ago.

He wasn’t any worse than he is now, the pats just weren’t great that year. Still brought them to the AFC championship.

@@savethewest4129 their skill position players were subpar that year, true. Still, imo, he's better now. Moves in and out of the pocket better, and more importantly, he changed his throwing motion and is now a much better deep ball thrower.

i would t say he’s better, he always had it in him. it’s just that the Pats system didn’t allow him to show it, plus he never had this many variety of weapons at once

Good game as a Pats fan, but I was hoping to see the 2005 game against the Falcons. They came back late, but Brady led a game winning drive and Vinatieri kicked the game winning field goal.

Yep the only downside to that game is Matt Schaub (that’s 2009 NFL Passing champ Matt Schaub to you) started in place of an injured Michael Vick

NFLT usually throws curveballs when it comes to Thursday Night Football. Kinda like when the Broncos played the Browns, they uploaded 2008 TNF instead of Elway and The Drive. Or Bucs/Eagles, the 1979 playoffs instead of 2002 NFC-CG
