Georgie is a sales genius, marketing genius and entrepreneurial genius (that's outside of him having really good character which is what we see here) Missy has a genius level emotional IQ. Sheldon has academic genius. Penny was ridiculed for being dumb on TBBT but she clearly has a genius for memorization of dialog and her emotional IQ levels are very close to those of Missy. Different skill sets for different people. Which set you have isn't nearly as important as figuring out how to best use them. That's a whole different level of problem solving for most people.

I find it interesting that in our modern world people 'need help' with a new baby. I had 2 boys, 17 months apart, and i took care of everything all by myself. My husband was more work than both kids together. He never lifted a finger to do anything, except create more work for me. I did all the housework, laundry, cooking, getting up several times a night----i mean EVERYTHING. Kids were born in 1970 and 1971. And I had 2 emergency Ceasarians, which meant i was also recovering from major surgery.

My oldest nephew was a cryer, stupid consultation bureau told my brother and sil to just let him cry. i babysat him one evening, and also got the 'let him him' comment. I threw it out the window and took him downstairs with me and just held him, took me an hour but he fell asleep in my arms. shocked his parents lol.

Every scene with Sheldon is a complete distraction unless it is not built around him. He's boring and the nastiness is coming out. And the kid playing him can't act anymore, which happens with a lot of good young child actors as they grow older.

@@anki5156 Because he can't. He puts on this stern face and says his lines with a deeper voice than he actually has, but there is no truth to any of it. He does not come across as a real person, even one who would obviously on the spectrum (though for some reason the producers of TBBT insist that Sheldon is not, which means he's just a clueless a-hole). Ian is playing Sheldon as a caricature and not a good one. I feel bad to say it because he's just a kid, but compare the actor that you see now with the one from the first 2 or 3 seasons. Night and day because he was wonderful and it's because young child actors lack self-consciousness. It is one of the reasons why most child actors are unable to continue with it as they grow older. By contrast, the actress playing Missy has improved as an actor. And it doesn't help that they do not know what to do with Sheldon anymore. We want to see Georgie, Missy and even the travails of Meemaw and the parents. Be honest, when the scenes with Sheldon and, say, Dr. Linklater, appear don't you think "this may be a good time to go to the bathroom"?

Why do you like the worse character

Sheldon has become a background character in his own show, and the show turned into raising hope, and it just works.

@@SomashreeSaha yes it was all resolved same day. It had been a 1 for 1 swap. This was back in ‘91 or ‘92. Today would’ve been a huge lawsuit. Hospital right off Univ of TN campus. Other family was a UT professor & their daughter was wearing something UT. My future wife just didn’t feel right and noticed the clothing and then a pin prick had been done on the heel of the other baby which hadn’t been done to ours. She kept questioning it. One nurse got fired and I believe no fees were charged for anything. Today = huge lawsuit.

She kept pressing and eventually that same evening the swap was reversed. They kept the two families apart. No labor/delivery fees were charged and I think everybody was just so relieved that a lawsuit wasn’t even discussed ‘91 or ‘92.
