As a new spinner, this we SUPER helpful. These terms like "combo spin" get thrown around, sometimes without a lot of explanation, so this was really helpful. One question: Are you planning a future video where you show the completed yarn, and then maybe also your completed sweater?! I've learned enough to know that the fiber evolves and changes appearance as it becomes something new (fiber to yarn, yarn to fabric) and I'd love to see what sort of results this method netted you. I was thinking a combo spin was something different thanks for the video. I thought you just took 3 braids, spin them separately and Plied them together. This is more detailed. I’ve actually done this way but didn’t realize what it was called.

As i couldnt find any classes near me so far i am so grateful that you shared infos about your process. Looking forward to all the things you are sharing with us :) one thing i am still struggling is how to decide on a spinning wheel. Most probably i will start with a drop Spindle to test it out but really love the look of a spindle wheel and would love to invest in one. But Die to the price i dont know what to look out for as i cant test one out near me. Can you help with that? How did you decide in your Model?

Hey Kaci! Thanks SO much for this video, I was just thinking to myself last week that I need to research how to do a proper combo spin, I've kinda just been guessing. This was so informative and helpful. One question for you, you mentioned splitting the fibres once more for your sleeves to accommodate the smaller circumference and hopefully keep the colour changes fairly even. Did you mean you split the strips one more time widthwise, so that they were narrower strips? Or did you split it again lengthwise, so that they were shorter strips? Thanks so much!
