Its so stupid what you said, basically what you said is "Instead of listening to a firefighter who was involved in a fire, we should ask the dunkin doughnut employee 3 miles away what happened and take his word over the firefighter". It might be a "Fallacy", but i take his word over Max, who gives every QB the excuses he refuses to give to Tom, and that is a FACT.

Dubya this isn’t about inner details like that, this is about whether or not brady leaving would really even change anything on offense at this point or anything on defense, would brady or belicheck have a bigger impact on team morale? It’s very easy to answer that without a position on the argument thus position isn’t needed to have a better claim on the argument. Only people who would have a better claim if any would be the higher ups in the franchise not the players themselves
@thetf8142

Dubya I never said Brady isn’t apart of the team, but they’re still a stacked team so you can’t say it’s all brady Which explains why even cassel was able to pull off a 11-5 record, which in most cases gets you a playoff spot

So your going to ignore the fact that as defensive coach in New York, he help the giants to 2 super bowl wins. And your really going to blame him for the Brown’s misfortune( lost his starting QB for 9 games) He took them to the playoffs something the browns with their super team can’t do now. If it wasn’t for a injury, Tom Brady would be on bench, simple. He was a 6th round pick with only 3 nfl passes to his name. Bill > Brady

This argument didn't age very well because they're both wrong. Brady moved to Tampa Bay? Instant Super Bowl. The Pats? Fate just happened to put them on the same team for two decades.

And no one says brady is bad, but if any team lost their starting qb, no matter what team in history, there will be an impact on the season. 11-5 is still a good record. Btw when Brady came in to play, they also went 11-5. Belichick is great but has a net 0 yards, 0 TDs, and 0 sacks, and even he knows this. To quote him, "Players make plays".

So you think the Patriots win because of Bill Belichick? Think again. 1. Bill Belichick, as a head coach, went 36-44 with the Cleveland Browns from 1991-1995. Before then, Cleveland regularly made the playoffs with double digit wins and had done so in 4 of the 5 seasons immediately before hiring Belichick. Cleveland played in the AFC championship game in 1986, 1987, and 1989. Belichick went 6-10 in 1991, 7-9 in 1992, 7-9 in 1993, 11-5 in 1994, and 5-11 in 1995 with the Browns. One year after firing Belichick, in 1996, owner Art Modell relocated the Browns to Baltimore where they became the Baltimore Ravens and has since won 2 Super Bowls in the 2000 and 2012 seasons. Even Bernie Kosar, who was the Browns starting quarterback for the majority of the time Belichick coached Cleveland had his best season before Belichick got there, posting a career high in passer rating and being selected to the Pro Bowl in 1987. 2. Bill Belichick as the head coach of the New England Patriots is 18-19 when Tom Brady is not his starter. He is 217-63 when Tom Brady is his starter. Drew Bledsoe, who was the Patriots' starting quarterback when Belichick became head coach went 5-13 as a starter under Belichick. Bledsoe also made the playoffs twice in 3 years under Pete Carroll and led the 1996 Patriots to a Super Bowl under head coach Bill Parcells. Bledsoe had previously made both, the playoffs and probowl 3 times before 2000 with 2 different head coaches, Bill Parcells and Pete Carroll. In 2000, Bledsoe went 5-11 under Belichick, and in 2001, he went 0-2 under Belichick before the hit from Jets defender, Mo Lewis caused him to lose his starting spot for good in New England. In 2002, Bledsoe was traded to the Buffalo Bills where he, not only went 8-8, but also threw for over 4,300 yards and made yet another probowl. In Bledsoe's 18 games as a starter under Belichick, he threw for a meager 3,691 yards, never scoring more than 30 points in a game once. In Brady's first game as a starter, the Patriots scored 44 points and scored 34+ points 4 times in 14 games that season. 3. In 2008, Matt Cassel went 10-5 as a starter under Bill Belichick. That year, the Patriots had the 5th easiest strength of schedule in the entire league as their opponents went a combined 123-133. They went 2-4 against teams that made the playoffs that season. In just the year before, that Patriots team went 16-0 during the regular season with Tom Brady as the starting quarterback. Cassel came in and that team immediately had a 5 win dropoff from the season prior. That team still had Welker and Moss, who both played all 16 games, yet Cassel still managed to throw for 1,113 less yards and 29 less touchdowns than Brady did the season prior. Cassel managed to post a passer rating of 89.4 while Brady posted a passer rating of 117.2 the season prior. Cassel still managed to lose his division to the Dolphins and miss the playoffs with that top 10 defense. Cassel still managed to not be selected to the Pro Bowl. Cassel then went to Kansas City in 2009, where he played under head coach Todd Haley, and in 2010, posted a 10-5 record with the Chiefs while throwing for 6 more touchdowns and 4 fewer interceptions than he did in 2008 with the Patriots. Cassel in 2008 posted an 89.4 passer rating with the Patriots and posted a 93.0 passer rating in 2010 with the Chiefs. Cassel not only won his division with the Chiefs, but also made the playoffs and was selected to a Pro Bowl with the Chiefs. None of which he did while playing under Belichick in New England. 4. In 2016, when Brady served a four game suspension, the Patriots led by Jimmy Garropolo and then by Jacoby Brissett went 3-1 under Belichick. In those 4 games, the Patriots played 3 against teams that finished that season with losing records, 3 games at home, and 1 game against a team who made the postseason with the worst offense to ever play in the postseason in NFL history. A team that threw more interceptions than touchdown passes and had over twice as many fumbles as rushing touchdowns. The Patriots lost to the Buffalo Bills 16-0 at home to which they put up 41 points against 4 weeks later after Brady returned from the suspension. Garropolo then gets traded to a struggling 1-10 49ers team the very next season and posts a record of 5-0 with them. 5. Bill Belichick has a COMBINED record of 54-63 in his head coaching career when Brady does not start for him. He is 217-63 when Brady does start for him. In 7 full seasons without Brady as his starting quarterback, Belichick has only made the playoffs once, with 5 losing records. In his lone playoff appearance without Brady, Belichick is 1-1, while being 30-10 with 6 Super Bowl wins and 9 Super Bowl appearances with Brady as his starting quarterback. Each quarterback who plays under Belichick and also under another coach(s), plays better and wins more with the other coach(s). Belichick has missed the playoffs 3 times since he has become the Patriots head coach and 2 of those times were when Tom Brady was not his starter. The other time being in Tom Brady's second season as a starter where the Patriots went 9-7 and Tom Brady tied with Brett Favre to lead the league in touchdown passes. There is no viable argument that can be made to say Belichick made Brady or even that he is why the Patriots win so much. Facts don't lie.

Yes, the Pats could theoretically continue a dynasty without Brady if they replace him with a star QB...it's not going to happen with a mediocre QB or a B+ one. Making the playoffs, winning a playoff game, going 11-5 is NOT a "dynasty". I don't think anyone would suggest that Belichick can't win games or put together good teams without Brady....but the question was about a "dynasty", which means winning several Super Bowls.

Matt Cassel argument is ignorant. A dynasty is based on championships, postseason success, not winning 11 games in the regular season. If that were the case he’d be Mike Tomlin. Solid coach, incredibly smart able to get to the post season often, could win a couple championships. But a dynasty? Come on.

The Matt Cassell argument is so tired. Brady went 16-0 and then gets hurt and the team goes 11-5... and doesn’t make the playoffs. Literally the only time in the last 17 years that the Patriots didn’t make the playoffs was the year Tom Brady got hurt and you think that’s an argument AGAINST Brady?!? Including playoffs the 2007-2008 team won 7 more games than Cassell did one year later. Same coach. Different QB. 7 games.
@Venomenon8
@Venomenon8 4 жыл бұрын
The sample size is too small with no Brady and Belichick coaching the Patriots. In 2008 when Brady went down with a Knee injury, the team was coming off an undefeated season. The talent on the 07-08 teams was ridiculous. Yes the team went 11-5 without Brady, but they didn't make the playoffs with Cassel under center...This kind of goes to Damien's point of Brady being an extension of Belichick on the field. Both are the GOAT's.

Tom Brady has always told all of us exactly who the reason was for their winning. 1)Hes always taken paycuts so they could afford talent around him(wait but i thought just guys off the street is all Tom Terrific needs) and most telling? 2)When he had the chance to go else where and prove Bill was nothing without him he went crying to daddy to get rid of the guy that would prove once and for all he was no better than maybe even Jimmy G, not to mention Brees, Rodgers or Peyton. Tom told you himself what he thought of his own talent. Great player AND always been over rated.
