The plaintiff says he was walking his dogs and the defendant’s large dog bolted out the open front door and attacked, biting his hand. He’s had to miss work, so he’s suing for what he’s out. The defendant says she has video proof her dog did not get out that day and alleges the plaintiff is scamming her.

I got 2 points about this case... Ring cameras are great when the movement is right in front of it... to trigger the camera you need to be direct in front on mine... So if it happened at the right of that picture they showed, it could have that awning pillar blocking the sensor until they got to where they were... Wrestling with my dog one day, my open hand hit one of his canines and left the same puncture wound... If that dog bit, it would have LOCKED ON as pitbulls do... When pits lock on, you don't beat them off with a brick... He swatted at the dog and he hit a canine tooth.... that is no pitbull bite.. I think she was smiling because her dog is a big sook that would rather bark from the house than attack anything..

You need your freaking hand to do every damn thing, but breathe and if it's your primary hand that was bitten that is even more of a problem. Not only that the attack had to also be both mentally traumatic , and lastly he was lucky it was only his hand he could have even been killed as a result of that attack! At 5:01 the judge demeans the plaintiff by saying 'that little thing on your hand' when it is a large puncture wound in the middle of the bone joint. How dare the judge be so belittling, the plaintiff is not at fault at all, he is the victim, so why is the judge being so hostile to him? He's just a bit timid and didn't come fully prepared for court, but he deserved a whole lot more than a measly $500. And the fact that the defendant miraculously can't provide footage of the attack, should be enough to be convinced, but the judge kindly says to the defendant 'I'm not saying you are keeping me from it' when everything proves that she is, so why is the judge being so nice to the defendant and so mean to the plaintiff?...

Its really weird that she keeps interrogating the Plaintiff as if he's lying. Literally ALL the facts of the case line up with his testimony. The time he was at her house. The time he called the police. The time he went to the Drs. The fact that the Drs treated him for a dog bite. The fact that the police confirmed the door was open and a dog inside. Everything. This should have been over in 3 minutes. The only questionable part is whether or not he missed work. But that doesn't even matter to me...because if he went to work he still had to do his job with a dog bite on his hand, which would have been painful as shit, and probably took him longer than it would have otherwise.

Even if there was not much physical damage, that was scary as fuck. He had to take time out of his day to go to the Drs (and get a shot, which was painful) which costs money. Had to take time to talk to the police. And like he said, there are day-to-day activities (using a computer, cooking, going to the gym) that require full use of your hand. Yeah, it's crazy how delusional so many pitbull people are. As if dog breeds suddenly don't matter when it's a negative breed trait they don't want to acknowledge. There's no such thing as a nanny dog. It's a myth. They were bred to be dog and small animal agressive and bred to have a strong bite. Generations of line breeding during the beginning of the breed and then generations of non- regulated backyard breeding with the modern pitbull/bully breed mean that it's in an owner's best interest to keep their dogs from being in situations where they can possibly attack another animal because you never know if your animal has inherited the behavioral traits of its breed. All dog breeds have individual variations but many dogs will do what they're bred to, socialization be damned. Herders herd, hounds bark, and terriers, like pitbull terriers, bite and hunt small animals.

Not a single person helped. I had to walk to an fire department for aid, but even they didn't do anything other than let me use a phone. The owner didn't have insurance and not much else. Tell me you're ignorant on the subject without saying that. Smh Right, that’s what I meant, I don't care about an innocent child because I'm discussing facts in a completely different scenario. Make it make sense. If you want to start pointing fingers at breeds, we better start outlawing Labs, Dalmatians, Shepherds, Shar Pei’s, Akitas, Chihuahuas, Cocker Spaniels… I can keep going. Sadly, pit bulls are over bred, meaning there are much higher numbers of them in our shelters and being rehomed in inadequate homes. On top of that, because of the breeding practices, the stigma, it attracts a certain type of owner… what do all of these things have in common? HUMANS AT FAULT. Pit breeds were the dogs of WWII, they saved countless soldiers & they were originally "Nanny Dogs" due to their disposition and dedication to the family… humans did this to the breed just like they have to every other breed. There are plenty of phenomenal pitbulls. Judge the dog, not the breed, just like humans. But hey, that would take less ignorance and more understanding and intelligence.

Sad situation and even worse it being a pit bull. It’s always the negligence of the owners but even though the mother was unaware the children that left the door open should be more aware that they need to be responsible of ensuring to close the door as to protect their home and pets. Also, in defense to the poor dog I think he was even surprised that a door was open and probably just when the dog realizes this the plaintiff comes into sight. The dog seemed to be protecting his space/ domain and not at all to be mean because he returns right back into the home and never comes out again. Even when the police comes to check out the situation. Seems like the dog realizes he messed up and retreated to wait for his punishment. Bless his heart. I know that’s a lot of assumption but it’s obvious the dog wasn’t on a hell bender around the neighborhood. Just a unfortunate scenario all together. But someone was hurt and there’s never a excuse for that. Someone must be made whole again. I agree with the verdict. 5,000 was asking too much but I believe if the defendant had made a attempt to apologize the plaintiff would’ve just asked what he was out. I think 500 is the perfect amount since the damage wasn’t that bad. I think both the litigants should be very grateful that the attack wasn’t so bad because like other cases this could have been bad all around.

Milian was sloppy and partisan again. The defendant was clearly a liar. Worse still, the bite was not a ‘little thing’ - the dog bit through his finger. Defendant left the door open - irresponsible and a liar. She smirked when the gap in video was noted and she smirked when the plaintiff said all he wanted was an apology. She is a real piece of work!
