The plaintiff says the defendant was his plumber, and he rented a home to him. He says the man stopped paying rent and he had to evict him. Right before he was evicted, the defendant poured cement down all the drains, so the plaintiff is suing for plumbing repairs. The defendant says he never poured cement down the pipes and alleges the plaintiff is just trying to get his old pipes replaced. He’s countersuing for defamation and harassment.

This is part of why there are fewer and fewer private landlords and why apartments are so expensive. The small landlords are tired of these destructive renters and have sold off their houses and the big companies running apartments are charging as much as they can and have to make up for destructive tenants.

The situation had gotten so bad. When the got evicted the busted the toilet sinks and shower/tub with sledgehammer, poured concrete down the vents and drains and busted all windows. Luckily he had amazing insurance cause it cost around 100,000 for all the repairs. They were luckily prosecuted. He was an amazing landlord to us. The defendant said the charity was going to pay him to get his business going.. did he mean that as in to pay his past rent, or pay him to get his plumbing business started up?

In the end he said that the judge doesn't know anything about piping.... do you not know who she is? 🤣 she knows a lot HOWEVER even if you don't know anything about piping, you can still tell that it was concrete and not backed up sewage coming from the stacks on the roof haha that was entertainment to watch. Remember kids, even grown up have to deal with the consequences for their decisions. He made a bad decision and is now paying for it.

When I was little my parents owned a home in Florida. Due to life changes we had to move back home to NYC and rather than sell the house they rented it. Renters wouldn't pay and when finally served with eviction, they pulled this cement crap. Not only did they pour cement down toilets and drains; they trashed the house period. People suck.

I don’t see how what defendant did isn’t criminal and whether he could be charged for such. Only a person who’s never owned anything in their life would conceive of doing such to another’s home. The defendant doesn’t deserve a rebounded business, a roof over his head, and especially a 15 ur old daughter who will hopefully be the opposite of what her father is.
