The same logic Evan is using to not use a plate is how I justify not using baby plates on a high chair tray for my one year old. 😂 I won’t be putting a plate on top of a “plate” especially if my baby is just gonna pick up the plate and throw it on the floor.

I totally did the same with the highchair! But it feels cleaner because we’re not setting stuff down on top of the tray, like Jess mentioned grocery bags and stuff. Kitchen counter feels too high traffic to eat off of😬

I'm just starting to watch - Evan cracks me up! 😂 As far as eating from the counter, I think it's fine in your own home but maybe not in other people's homes - especially if it bothers them. Personally, I'm not an eating-while-standing person and would grab a paper towel or paper plate if I didn't want to dirty a regular plate. I can already tell this is going to be a good show! 😄 #countersarebigplates 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve seen lots of cutting boards that are made out of extra counter material, so the analogy works! But if you have a dishwasher, I don’t understand why you would opt into cleaning the counter every time, when you can just toss the plate into the dishwasher :)

The main thing I think of with the counter thing isn’t germs but the disinfecting spray you might use to clean the counter and possibly getting chemicals on the food! Unless you only clean the counters with food safe natural stuff!

I watch the cow hoof videos! But don't like watching pimple popper. Started watching the hoof videos because I needed help staying awake during middle of the night feeds with my baby. Those videos kept me hooked and I didn't need sound, so it was perfect.

Actually Dad is totally right about the water thing. People don’t need to be drinking gallons of water, that actually depletes you of minerals - you’re basically flushing them out. You’re getting desalinated. The whole drink gallons of water thing was kind of a wellness trend but I think more people are realizing that’s not necessary or good for you.

I side with Evan on the chips on the counter. I hate the feeling of the inside of the bag and the sound it makes…and perhaps some trauma from childhood, when children shouldn’t be seen or heard.

The charcuterie board analogy doesn’t work because you have the board. You wouldn’t put your charcuterie directly on the counter. You put it directly on your cutting board and then you put the cutting board on the counter.

He’s talking about the board because it’s similar to a counter, each of those things are placed on the board and not mini plates on the board…like his honey example. And when you dip or scoop things, you can usually grab a plate (like bringing it close to your face not to drip honey to help you not make a mess) but a board isn’t used the same way.
