This is basically what keeps happening to me. My AR is between 65%-70%. I get great offers to get me up to 70, and then I get absolute garbage to bring me back down to 65. Then that cycle just keeps repeating.

Same here. Started my first full shift at 74. Got complete trash and dropped down to 67 in 2 hours. I don’t even try to get back up.

easily overcome, accept all offers or more than you arent, simple!!!! Quit bean counting and do what ya signed up for instead of taking up a slot in the schedule, making DD flood the market with new drivers, who usually dont know what they are doing and pissing off the merchants causing innumerable social issues directed at the drivers which are a direct cause of delays in deliveries, cause an effect slow deliveries, pissed of customers pissed off merchants and their employees, which leads to pissed off drivers

i started out same as everyone else, saw what was required and attained the goal top dasher ASAP, simple first month schedule and work as much as possible, ACCEPT EVERYTHING, the goal is (LTD's) lifetime deliveries, OBTAIN 200 ASAP, if you can do it in the first month of driving assuming you started at the first of the month (like i was fortunate enough to do) and bingo top dasher or top dasher platinum is obtained, now that 150 is required we will start to see who really is a top dasher or are really wannabe cherry pickers masquerading as TD's and the secret sauce dont ever let your AR drop, until you can afford too, which i have unassigned an order from McD's $7< order 17 cars in drivethru counting me three more coming in behind i bailed, three orders and 35 minutes $17 later, the drivethru was still backed up with at least a 20 min wait. It was worth the AR drop but only because i was at 100%AR, havent been below a 97% AR since i started

@@fmstark5078 I do 400 a month and always over 80% so they increase the rules it means less dashers when it’s slower and better for me.. I only do it part time after 5pm and never breakfast and lunch.. my area has like a dozen places that use DoorDash within a quarter of a mile.. Japanese and Chinese restaurants are the best for good tipping.

@@fluttuers2820unfortunate. but could that be influenced by your particular market, too many top dashers, a bad week in the markets, local economy taking a dump, local bank failure.....maybe a scathing news article about delivery services, doesnt help when ya got social media types ""i made $300k DD"" makes most peeps feel well DD drivers are all doing so well i will give less or no tip, dont have the SGPProgram here yet still have TDRewardsProgram, i qualify as platinum since my first month, easy peasy and have 111(MD's) monthly deliveries and still a half a month left to make the platinum level for MAY except i only need 100 feel sorry for the dashers who are in the newer program for now eventually it will be here and instead of 10 days it will take 15 to qualify as a TDP top dasher platinum

It can not be more blatant than that. We have always known that the AR system was a means to control dashers. You hit 70, and then the algorithm essentially realized it had you in check, like playing AI in a chess program.

And they can never penalize based on AR but with this program they can incentivize which conversely penalizes those that don't get the priority to high paying offers

It is the wild west of AI and tech app companies are leading the charge. No one is regulating them, so they do whatever they want. And you can be on the phone for 20 min with support to get my dollar they shorted me. They have all the cards.

Yes indeed. It used to happen to me REGULARLY in Nashua NH territory. I actually tracked it… 13 orders 8 pizza places I visited regularly and 5 higher end restaurants.

i am at the top end of the numbers and i get lowball offers as well part of it is economy, part of it is social media entitled individuals who dont realize that they can be denied as well after awhile addresses will start to be banned so no matter how many friends or accounts are made service will eventually be denied one must not forget machines ie....AI has a memory!!! it can be directed as well that is why social media is so dangerous instant "McCarthyism".

Platinum is a joke. I did 42 deliveries over the last 2 days at plat. 30% of my deliveries were still no tip orders. That still includes declining about 5 offers and unassigned 1.

Exactly. I pretty much quit all together. I was making about $25 to $30 hr as Top Dasher. Tier Program came in first week was good, then it went downhill. Bad to where I was making $15-$18 My friend who was sliver was getting better orders. Now I’m barely Silver. Too many other apps then to deal w this BS

do you really think that DD can control no tippers?? i have been to multi 100,000 homes three 4 cars all less than 5 yrs old, large order from pizza hut, wings 2 large pizzas & cinnabuns no tip, everytime the economy takes a hit (stock market wise) i see a drop in tips from the high flying younger crowd

I’ve had that happen to me. The moment I hit gold, DD immediately sent me backwards orders that I declined and it dropped me back to silver status. Question: how many orders do you have to accept to raise your AR up 1% because it drops 1% every time you decline an order.

Consider camping a McDonalds in a buisness district M-F for breakfast to get that AR up. usually short deliveries and pretty quick.

I'm in the platinum tier, some days it's really hard for me to stay in platinum tier, especially mondays and tuesdays. I rarely see those $13+ offers, I mean very rarely in my market in NY.

Pittsburgh's always been decent since 2015 in my experience. Just one driver/worker though, earnings are still down from 2020-2021 of course (different market at the time)

Starting Wednesday in the central Valley, California. We now have to have an AR of 80% or above, 150 deliveries in the past month, customer raiting of 4.8, and completion rate of 97% to be a platinum dasher. Got the email last week.

You like the games that DD plays when you are close to 70% ar in the tier program? They are manipulating the hell out of people so much harder now. Ought to be sued for this tactic. I am actually surprised it let you get up 7% on only ten deliveries. I am also convinced they will not update your 70 after you pass it for a couple of deliveries, you will look down after declining one and suddenly be at 72. still playing games.

Yep, I'll never play their games and I make pretty decent money overall. This week, I averaged $28.32/hr. Last week, $27.87. I'll just keep what I'm doing, thanks, and let the YT content creators do their thing.

It's on a rolling basis so I'm sure I have tons of declines from when I cherry picked and was starting at 27% which explains the fast increase. I agree it feels like a lot less control bc they know you need 50/70%. I like the disclosure of letting you know how declines affect AR but I would also like more clarity and to perhaps see my accepts/declines from the last 100.

I believe in Fla. The governor said DD or UE can not charge more. It has to be the price of the restaurant. So maybe they need to change pricing..

They probably are just going to raise the fees on delivery. They also have to have a direct contact to the restaurant for the customer instead of using dashers as the go behind. The bill states they can’t put a restaurant on their platforms without the owners consent nor change the menu prices.

I am a Top Dasher here on the West Coast and just received an email from DD stating that The Central Coast will have the Dasher Rewards replace the Top Dasher program starting June 25th, 2024. Was wondering they will grandfather me into the Rewards program or will they have me start from scratch? What was your experience?

@@YourDriverMike no dasher rewards. It's the same system as it was two years ago. Also the same in Port Angeles and Port Townsend areas that I dash in. As a part-time dasher I don't think the dasher rewards system will benefit me, so I hope it doesn't start here.

I can confirm that sitting still waiting give you less offers. Soon as you leave/move orders start coming in. This really makes me mad, because I want to save on gas by hanging out in a hot zone but the algo doesn't let you.

At gold level, are you guys able to dash now or advance scheduling? Because i talked to costumer service they said there is a issue that happening right in the dash app in California drivers,, i am like Gold level AR is 98 costumer rating is 4.90, but still unable to dash now or advance scheduling

SO I am at a week of Silver, they just are not giving me orders that are worth getting gold. I have seen a slight uptick in earnings with Silver but not enough that has made me want to justify getting to gold. Maybe After a few more weeks I'll be tempted to try but so far I am hovering at around 60% acceptance.

Is it possible to Jump straight to Gold? I’m about to hit my 50th delivery and my AR is over 70%, rating is 5.0, CR is 100%. So I wondering if I’d be able to skip over Silver and go straight to Gold. I guess I’ll find out today.

The only way to increase acceptance rating is by accepting orders or if you have a reset you can use. If they're telling you you can't use it it may be past the reset deadline

in my area, 9 outta 10 times them asking you take pictures of the menu is them preparing to put that resturant on cash on deliver status without the places concent. it happens alot in my town cause most the places dont wanna work with doordash. we got a pizza place that isnt a doordash partner and they got livid if you show up and say you're there for a doordash pickup because they will be like "we're not on doordash" and then when you show them they are, they get hostile af.

I just completed my first 50 orders and got gold dasher status with 85 % AR and 100% completion rate. So far the results have not been good in my zones. Lots of 1:1 ratio dollars per mile orders and the frequency of orders feels like it has gone down as well. Pretty disappointed. It feels like they try to hook you in with an initial 50 delivery boost and then take it away..

theyve asked me 5 diff times to take a pic of the menu but last time i did it i was at hardees and they wouldnt accept my picture cus it was hard to get a good one of the menu board so i tried to back out and they still paid me for it so theyll prob never ask me to do it again

I know in the past Postmates and others did not have consent from the restaurant to operate, so maybe that's what the photos are for. If the restaurant isn't partnering with them, it gives them an accurate menu

They can’t make me do shopping orders .. I have a certain order area then pause after delivery to get back to my area.. I don’t do 15.00 deliveries for 13 miles. I’ve gotten the extra dollar many times for extra dollar in mass.. you’re waiting anyways.

2 weeks ago I grinded for 70+%. Last 2 weeks I've been super selective and am down to 43%. I made the same weekly money with 16 fewer deliveries with the lower percentage. BE SLECTIVE! (my market doesn't have catering)

Just for the record, I used to work with clients in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), and when I had Israeli clients, Saturday night meetings were common, since they work Sundays and it’s a 10.5h time change 😊

My last comment. It was worth it to have to attain status and have that status for an entire month. Then you only had hell week at the last of the month to keep it. Now with the rolling AR, that changes with every order, it is NOT worth it. But cheering you on to platinum, just in case. I would love to be wrong.

if i do a delivery and its the wrong address i'm calling to get paid to drive the difference. if doordash doesn't pay i get the food for free and my money. i drove extra once and i lost money and they lied that they didn't get it. had to send in the dashcam to prove i did deliver it. ever since then if the address is wrong not my problem. if i have to deliver somewhere else doordash or the customer is paying i did my job.

These orders are iffy and only marginally profitable. How much did you have to pay in gas to get to platinum? How much time?

Instead of getting higher priority because you don’t know what will pop up and you may just accept a bad offer when you could’ve waited a few seconds for a higher paying order that goes to less status members or something, why not give $.50 to silver $1 for gold and $2 for platinum members per order or hour so at least you know your ranking has some actual merit

With all these features let's not forget quarter after quarter DD reports LESS dasher costs (which includes pay). I think that's very telling

So the only difference between Platinum and Gold is a higher customer rating (4.7 vs. 4.5). Why didn't 70% get you to Platinum?

Worth it? No. I understand the whole having something to make content for on KZfaq, but It's not worth it worrying about your acceptance rate. All that extra car wear and tear from taking the trash orders just to get your AR up is abusive BS, not to mention the mental stress. Maintaining a specific high AR is extremely flawed because it DOES NOT work in all markets, and even areas within a market, because the base pay is too low/abusive and the majority of customers suck at tipping. And 4 gatekeeping levels, just to get to the better orders? What is this, a video game? Why does there need to be FOUR? All the different criteria now that you need to maintain a level just makes it even harder to stay at any level. And one of them is ratings, the whole ratings thing has always been BS, because you're putting your livelihood in the hands of the vocal minority customers who will complain at the slightest thing, are uneducated about the dashing process, or will rate you low on purpose because if they are miserable and unkind enough to not tip you then what do you think the same people will do when you give them the power to rate someone? It's just all around BS by DoorDash and this is just an abusive scheme to pit metrics and customer ratings against the driver so that DoorDash doesn't have to actually put out a fair base pay/work environment, it's just easier to randomly cull out drivers for whatever reason they deem fit (since you signed your rights away when you accepted the terms of service) based off an automated and unfair metrics/rating system.

it's all a dishonest grift. Channels like this make "outrageous" content to get clicks and views but are doing a lot of damage to other people trying to make a living. They could care less. The point is to get the views... and sell their crap. DoorDash earnings are meaningless to these KZfaq channels. It would be much more entertaining to make a channel being the worst DoorDash driver ever.... eating customers food, driving over their orders before delivering, etc.

Good luck. I hit platinum in the Seattle area every month. Just so I can get the - now. Feature, and I still get sent a lot of c*** orders 6 months ago and I've been doing this for years. I could still average 25 to 30 an hour in the Seattle area. Now I'm lucky if I can average 18 an hour but I gotta take those c*** orders just to keep the - now going. I'm on social security and I depend on this for living expense money every day. So even though it's horrible pay it allows me to make enough for groceries without working full time and being penalized

Thanks for sharing, yes since it's the rolling basis they can send you basically anything and you have to accept to keep 50/70% AR. Huge negative and I'm sure a strategically planned feature of the program
