I feel like Kyoko should've been slightly higher because of her past life It kind of suggests she is extremely smart. It was said in Danganronpa Kirigiri she has handled weapons at the age of 10. And she became a detective at 13. Figuring out her first case in just a small amount of time. Also I would like to add it was said that she read plenty of books, and also he grandfather's diary full of cases he completed this gives her even more knowledge, I am not mentioning about the grandfather's position because that is a spoiler to Danganronpa Kirigiri, so let's just say his father was extremely intelligent and wise and wrote down his cases and strategies, letting Kyoko read it to use for cases. Which suggests she is really smart and probably has a higher IQ than most of the Danganronpa Characters.

How is K1-B0 below Akane? His points in the Class Trials were always correct. And why is Chiaki that low?

I think Hiyoko should be higher than Yasuhiro. Hiyoko is intelligent and can easily figure out how to annoy people. She learned to avoid bullies and was most likely taught at some of the best schools because of her status. Just because she can't tie her kimono doesn't mean she's dumb it means she's inexperienced and helpless. She was brought up not being taught anything about person life skills because everyone expected her to always have a servant around to help. Yasuhiro is 20 and much more experienced than most kids but has failed so many years of school. Also Ibuki should be higher. She's just having fun and being herself. She wants to be goofy and speaking in third person is her choice that she makes cause it's funny and quirky and different. Not because she is dumb. Most of these are just misconceptions of IQ versus inexperience or one event. For example, Aoi was able to almost convince three people that Sakura commit suicide and two of them were Byakuya and Toko/Syo. I respect your opinions but there are some facts that contradict them and I just wanna bring them to light because I love the characters I mentioned and kin Hiyoko, Aoi, and Ibuki.

Honestly Sho's placement makes sense when you think about it, since Sho is considerably younger than Toko. She's had far less life experience, and since Toko tried to block her out of half of her own mind, it didn't help with Sho's learning curve. She was born of Toko's rejection and hateful emotions, she was never meant to be a being of reason, and it's why she's not nearly as academically or logically smart as many of the other characters.

YESS FINALLY SOMEONE TO PAY ATTENTION TO HOW SMART KOKICHI REALLY IS. You may not like him but omg he is a genius. To be able to come up with a whole plan after one backfires just like that, and having it be so in detail for just the small amount of time he had. Man.

I feel like Naegi should be _significantly_ higher given that, despite being an “average high schooler,” he was able to piece together the majority of the murders and who the murderers were, which even had Byakuya on edge and made him Kyoko’s trusted aide in others. He puts himself down quite a bit but he’s actually remarkably intelligent. I’m baffled he’s below _Akane_ of all people. Same thing for K1BO, who actually is far more intelligent than his placement. Edit: I disagree with the placement of quite a few characters actually.

4:31 Angie is really smart, she was always on the right side during a scrum debate. She is great manipulating and puts most of her emotions aside, she is a great antagonist and is really logical. But overall, she died to soon. I feel like she needed to be put in 20-15th place

This whole list is a hot mess imo. Being knowledgeable doesn’t mean you have a high intelligence-quotient. Characters like Celestia and Korekiyo should be much higher than characters like Kazuichi and Toko. The former are far more perceptive than the latter. Field of education doesn’t determine your capability to reason.

As a Hiyoko enthusiast, I must stop you right here. Being unable to tie a kimono does not make you less intelligent, it's just that nobody taught her. I don't think she's the smartest, though she's definitely smarter than someone like Akane or Aoi. Not much smarter than a Nekomaru however.

Kyoko is far more intelligent than that, in Danganronpa Kirigiri, we can see how a Rank 3 detective knew everything that Yui Samidare did in Christmas at almost perfection with just a glance at her body, then we know based in the DSC (Detective Shelf Collection) that there exist higher rankings like Rank 2,1 and 0 being Rank 0 considered Legends amongst detectives, not only that but exists the Double Zero (Detectives being the very best in every sub category in a category) and Triple Zero (Detectives being the very best in every sub and normal category that includes, cibernetic crimes, all type of homicides, polítical crimes including terrorism, religious crimes, etc) and a Rank 0 detective is like a master compared to Rank 3 detectives, and also Triple Zero Detectives are still way dumber that someone who has the right to be called Ultimate Detective, so pretty sure Kyoko and Shuichi are way higher

I disagree with Kiibo. Personally I believe he has higher IQ and I feel like he only says he has average intelligence/IQ so he won't be a stereotypical "robot = smart" He honestly says the wisest and logical things like almost all the time, but we can agree he is technically not "one person" since fans from the outside world really helps him think wisely hence why throughout most debates, he's very logical.

I love how people treat that nonsense "Kyoko" says about Sayaka in the abriged version more seriously than what the real Kyoko said in the actual game. In addition to Sayaka being very well-built in her own right, even if Leon was stronger than she is (with Sayaka working out every day and Leon never, i wouldn't be sure and "several times" is pure nonsense) Sayaka still had a knife and the element of surprise, while Leon never had any combat training or experience. Muscles wouldn't make him knife-proof and this was meant to be a murder, not a fight. I find it far more likely that the actual Kyoko was right and Sayaka failed due to her state of mind rather than the "mistake" of her victim choice. I also like how people think Sayaka was stupid for inviting Leon but i almost never hear how stupid Leon was for accepting the invitation. As for Makoto, yes he's an ordinary guy. Which considering that most of the Danganronpa characters are idiots should put him much higher on the list.

I would actually rank Kiri a bit higher, just seeing everything she did in THH, it’s insane just rewatching/replaying her looking through the murders. (YES,) THH had less sleuthing to be done compared to 2 and 3, but her background alone should also carry her in the ranking.

Miu was exactly correct and as someone who can study behavior as a career, the IQs were relatively close minus a few changes I would make. But my only discrepancy is that you didn't notice that Miu in every single chapter guessed the culprit right just to be shot down because she didn't have the evidence. Ie ch1. Assumed it was either kaede or shuichi and even claimed "plain jane" tsumugi. In ch2 called out "the cleaning lady did it. I don't care if it's 5 hours or 5 minutes. It's too convenient that you were in the gym at that time." In ch3 she said and I quote "I don't know about Tenko, but I'm pretty sure Kiyo killed Angie!" Her intuition, or her golden brain as she calls it, is always correct if you actually pay attention, she just lacks the evidence to ever prove it. And intuition is a huge part of assuming an IQ.

You say that Kokichi is superior because Kyoko, shuichi Hajime makoto and so on because they weren't able to come up with a plan to beat the mastermind. 1. Kokichi had to make tons of sacrifices and had to resort in using tools from others like mius tech, to achieve this. Also his plan did fail, makoto and hajime and shuichi, never explicitly tried to end the killing game until chapter 6 and succeeded and kyoko actually became a problem for the mastermind and junko went out of her way to have her killed.

I don't really get how Makoto is lower than people like Toko or Mondo considering they had no idea what was going on half the time during the trials. After the 2nd trial, Byakuya realizes that the only real threats to him are Makoto and Kyoko. I feel like there is a difference between raw intelligence and expertise in a certain field.

I just don't have any reason to believe that Kokichi can outsmart Kyoko, and I still believe Nagito's final mystery was harder to solve than Kokichi's. For these reasons and many more, I think I am justified in saying that these two do deserve higher placements. However, it's okay if you disagree; just be polite and civil about it, please.

Ibuki should be be higher. If you play her free time events, you would see that she sometimes drops her act and become the wisest person you have seen.

Her psychic joke, mostly treated like fluff and comedic relief actually shows her ability to know exactly what others are thinking, just by looking at their face. If she didn't attack 11037 she would've been as much as helpful during the trials as Makoto if not more.

ibuki actually helped in the trials a few times. probably should at least be a bit higher, tbh. this point may be a bit pointless, but id assume ibuki is talented in a lot of instruments, and to learn that amount of instruments at that age in that time to that skill probably makes her a fast learner. also, speaking in third person isn’t an indicator they’re dumb. it might have been a localization decision to keep that method of talking, since japanese also uses third person.

Izuru Kamukura might have an infinite IQ and every talent, but he did absolutely nothing while Junko plunged the world into oblivion. His lack of empathy and perpetual boredom caused him to neglect the suffering of millions, even though he intellectually knew the consequences of his inaction. Hajime Hinata might be average, but he tries his hardest to help his friends. He cares about people and honestly that’s way more important than being a genius.

Say what you will about it being your opinion and all, nothing against that, but Akane higher than Makoto? He caries every single trial and contributes the most to investigations, being able to quickly pick out and remember every bit of important information that's integral to catching the culprit, he's like the only one who can keep up with Kyoko and Byakuya.

I agree with most of those but I have some things I disagree with First I'd say Chiaki should be way higher, she's one of the most analytical capable danganronpa character and pretty much was one if the rare character who actually used their brain during the trials in Dr2 lol I'd also put Tsumugi higher, while it's true that she obv has an advantage, an idiot won't suddenly become a master at 4d chess if you give them tools She's a better liar, manipulator and actor than Kokichi (which is to be expected I mean she's the mastermind) and overall has set up a game in a way where no matter the outcome, unless no one plays she win. And if you don't play she'll force you to. I'd also put Kyoko higher, her feats in the first game are insane and she literally carried the class ass for the entire game, she literally solved trials before the even started ffs lol plus if we consider info regarding her even before the memory wipe, yea she's pretty damn smart I'd also put Kokichi lower, he's extremely smart no doubt but his way of thinking and flaws are so fucking enormous that they harm him in almost glorious ways. Kokichi judge each other based on pattern, based on how they'd act depending on what he'd say. He don't see the cast as "people" when it come to manipulation, he sees them as basically stereotypes That why all of his plan failed. Insect greet? Failed in a lot of different way because of his way of seeing things and even ended up being one of the reason ryoma died *despite* having seen his video because he thought that *logically* Maki wouldn't give him the MV His whole "mastermind plan" become a *lot* less impressive when you realize he spent week on it only for it to fail in 2 different way in 1 day and a half for things he legit didn't saw coming Same with his unknown murder plan, it's a good plan in concept but once you realize that Kokichi clearly underestimated what he was up against and that he actually didn't not think deeply though this plan at all (backup plan and stuffs) honestly it just feels like shallow spectacal.
