Maronzio Vance is a stand-up comic who you've seen on Comedy Central's "The Half Hour" and also has a podcast called "Killing Time." Maronzio ends up building up a pretty hefty list of people he wants to kick in this episode of The HoneyDew, ya'll. It all starts with his recent endeavor into therapy. There he learns to deal with issues surrounding his father and how he was taken advantage of by family members as a child. All of these things factor into his current relationships with women. It gets deep, it gets heavy and it gets hilarious on this weeks HoneyDew!

Thanks for sharing. There are a few other comments like this I can see, and I feel the same way about this EP and a lot of the other content on this network. My wife and I were discussing that to have hope and heal we need more opps to talk to each other about this stuff, and want to start a discord or something. Wondering if you think you might get value from smth like that?

Wow. Did not expect this one to go in the direction that it did. Maronzio is such a compelling storyteller with such a riveting story to tell. He made the whole thing simultaneously disturbing and darkly hilarious. Awesome guest. Awesome podcast. Keep 'em coming Ryan!

I literally gasped out loud when he said that if he figures himself out, he'll die. I have (to a lesser degree now) those same feelings. This is an incredible podcast and I think Maronzio needs his own TedTalk, seriously.

Rachel S I relate to his experiences and ways of thinking so deeply but this was the bit that made me most curious. I had a traumatic experience when I was eighteen months and it took me til I was 28 to even ask my Dad what actually happened and start figuring out the puzzle pieces. Like if I heard the words that made it all make sense I'd melt or dissolve. Thanks for sharing your experience!

God damn this gave me a lot of insight into my own family. I'm luckily that I was never a victim but the ripple effects of loved ones being victims has changed me and my family more than I'll ever know. Thank you for sharing this story even if it was uncomfortable for some of us to hear.

Also, I do the same exact thing with cleaning hotel rooms when I stay in them and I also have ocd. My boyfriend and I just went on vacation a couple weeks ago, and my boyfriend grew up rich, and I grew up poor. So he was like, why are you doing that? That’s why we pay the hotel. And I was like, absolutely not. I’m not leaving this room trashed for some poor cleaning lady to come in and be like, wtf. Cause my boyfriend is a night eater and he had chocolate all over the bed and coffee cups everywhere and stuff. And we had takeout boxes. Everyday I stripped the sheets and pillow cases, gathered the trash, cleaned out the fridge. Just got everything in a neat pile for them. It’s not hard.

this was a really nice podcast to listen to! As usual, Sickle Cell is holding it down and bringing some great interviewing skills mixed with a healthy dose of comedy. Maronzio Vance talked about some pretty heavy things (things that needed to be said as well has hear, especially from a male perspective) and Sickler used his host skills to keep the conversation going, not make his guest uncomfortable, and add some humor to this not so humorous topic. All that being said, Sickler is completely underrated! FTCF!!
