That would be hard to answer since we don't know the full context of your videos. What would people be searching for actively that you hope you would come up as the search result for? What would the content theme of the compilations be? Maybe start there.

Using Tubebuddy Keyword Explorer feature, I’ve rank in the 60’s competing against 2M videos and then I’ve ranked in the 50’s competing against 300k videos. Should I go with the higher ranking against 2M videos if I’m using the “Weighted” tap or should I still try to compete with less videos with a lower ranking?

What does the barrier to entry read? that will show in the weighted score. YOu want search to be in the yellow to green :)

I appreciate this advice, but I have a question how do you get rid of a tag you don’t want. This search tag would lead to porn and my site is not a porn site. I have caught the perpetrators and deleted them and block them. But the tag stayed on my channel for a month.

I have a variety channel with four buckets: comic cons, pop culture, silicon valley, and technology. My search results for the last 90 days show a variety of trending topics on my channel: whitey on the moon, amazon hub, fry's electronics, comet atlas, comet swan, canon scanner, and variation of all those. I'm reluctant to add all of them. I'm incline to add amazon hub and fry's electronics since I made multiple videos on that topic.

@@TubeBuddy That channel tags are just as, if not, important as properly tagging your videos. They go hand and hand, but I didn't consider using KW's I can rank high for, as channel tags, so I'm getting busy!

It doesnt matter anymore as before. I just experimented with an upload to a channel i have by posting a video with 0 tags and just focusing in first 5-8 words at the start of description and thats it. Actually the video performed 1/10 better than the other uploads who had tags and a long description full or relative keywords regards title. So it makes me think YT focus more in title and thumbnail to specify the content either than other metrics like tags no matter how accurate theyll be it'll play just a small role in dicovery. Ps: that video with 0 tags had better traffic from homepage and suggested source than other videos.

he's talking about channel's keywords...you can find it in the settings of your channel, not the keywords in description and video settings...
