Great piece mate, the imperfect texture is the best of it. It may not be what you envisioned, however it came out great and worthy of the challenge. Keep on turning. Cheers, Bluey 👍

Hey buddy! I really like how this turned out in the end, it's a tribute to your determination to finish it :) I think after 23 times on the floor I would have set it on fire, permanently :) you nailed the brief, and it's got bags of character! Let's rock February! One flower coming up ;)

I totally agree. I am a firm believer that the wood will tell you what it wants to be, and after the last major chip came off it did not fly off the lathe again.

Well it definatly looked like it had been through a fire. It really did look amazing finished. I cringed as you were working on it. I expected a complete train wreck!

Ty Sid and yes anyone can join, tournage Dubois puts together a playlist of each month’s challenge, so it would probably be a good idea to contact him and make sure you use #YTCCC2021 in the title
