The live action Fat Albert used to be a guilty pleasure of mine, and now I've heard its gotten meme status somehow. I do remember at the end of the film they hinted that the characters were actually based on Cosby and his friends and that the movie was made in memory of the real life Fat Albert, named Albert Robinson. I do find it rather ironic that Bill Cosby's character is portrayed as the normal one.
