Small tap on the brakes is to bring the brake pressure back get the calipers back for the brakes pad and its also to make sure they have brake pressure before entering a corner theres was a massive crash at Bathurst yesterday due to that reason the driver simply didn't bring the pressure back to the pads

Can someone tell me what's the use to give a small tap to the break with left foot before a big breaking? is it to warm the pads better and get more grip?
