Experimenting with mixing powdered glass with water, freezing it in molds, and fusing it in my kiln!

You can put your powder in dry and then add the water using a small squirt bottle, that was you can set your designs up easily. These turned out great

Yay!!!!¡¡¡¡¡!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡ IT WAS SO FUN to watch the experiment lol I'm glad you did it by consistency of the glass water ratio instead of being all precise..... it lets you KNOW what HAPPENS when you MAKE it THAT way.... you never know what can happen and there could be a glitch that is an awesome find.... that YOU find .....that is ONLY because you mugged it UP And DID it fearlessly!!!¡ ♡♡♡♡ one person's taste of an item is totally different than another's!!!!♡♡♡♡4444 I wouldn't think of the norm per se on ♡this

Hey Von! Had not seen your freeze & fuse videos before (have now also watched the moon video). Too bad about the high crack occurrence ratio - must be due to the only thing holding it together is the frozen water, then the water thaws getting your kiln paper wet & wrinkled (seems like it deteriorates/destroys your kiln paper - good for only one use?). Idea: cut your donut mold into separate donuts - might be easier to disperse air bubbles and remove pieces from single molds. How about drying them in your oven at 200F for an hour or so on a nonstick baking sheet, then transfer the pieces with a spatula onto your kiln paper? I also came across Tabitha's Glass Emporium on You Tube and watched her video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y76hhpV_vbSvc40.html - she has a fun way to help disperse air bubbles!
