You forgot to mention why the detent roller jumps out ? It needs to be properly spaced out on the pivot bolt to stop it happening again.

I have a yx 140 simi and gears won't down lower than 3rd but will go in 3 an 4th . Tire is stuck, kick start is stuck so I can't start it. What can the the problem. The. Piston dose move and the fly wheel moves so it's not froze up . I'm lost . Cant find any rebuilds on simi only manual

Thumpstar can you help me please?? My 140cc pitbike goes into 1st, 2nd, 3rd with ease but i have to really force it into 4th gear. Does eventually get into 4th .. could this be a similar issue ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

No need to remove anything but the clutch cover.. you can get a screwdriver in there and free it up

Hi, I just bought one brand new 140cc & it’s splattering cutting out blows black smoke, I’m confused with it I had a mechanic play with the Carbie & he couldn’t figure it out, it’s definitely running rich because u can smell the fuel strong plus it blacks new plugs in 5mins, as I’m riding it starts splattering backfires basically cutting out, im real confused with it maybe u might know a few different things to try?

The bolt hole for that piece he pryed up on gets stripped. Put a helicoil in and it will be good

Ya. There's a video out where you take a small outer diameter washer and large diameter washer and stack them on top of each other on top of star washer that has the detents on it. The small washer under large washer mounted inboard on shifting drum held into place using the shifting drum bolt. I also saw where you use a washer to fit in star washer recess

Ok, so that was'easy'? And why should you have to do that in the first place? Between some videos, the escalating prices, everything being out of stock, and one smart ass,shit dealer in Wi, I think it's a wise choice to pay up and buy a 140 Kawi.

But a kawi 140 makes less hp that the yx140 does and costs way more to fix
