Every times when I watch this part when big brother Lan Xichen was telling a story about him and Lan Zhan childhood to Wei Ying my tears are dropping I can feel Lan Zhan’s heart broken. His childhood story is sooo sad and sooo much heart broken. Maybe that’s why when Lan Zhan first saw Wei Ying and fall in love with him at first sight because Lan Zhan feels that Wei Ying attitude is kind of like his mom. Likes to talk to him. And the part that Lan Zhan brought the Emperor’s Smiles Wines back for Wei Ying I noticed how much Lan Zhan Loves Wei Ying.This is true Love and last forever love. Love can change people’s heart.

@@drdia7403 nope, they're not twins. Xichen is older than wangji by a few years (prob 2-3). In the novel, xichen and wangji are described as a copy of each other. Both have great cultivation skills, are good looking, are honest and both have honorable personality. Thus, they were called "the twin jades of lan"

其實藍湛心裡明白，即便硬生生把魏嬰藏起來，真的藏的起來嗎？因為魏嬰是人是有感覺的，魏嬰真的能足不出戶嗎？所以給魏嬰慢慢適應，慢慢讓魏嬰明白他的用意何在，而不是強迫魏嬰做他不願的事，藍湛也不想強迫他，要他心甘情願的，好好待在靜室就已足夠了^^

I loved this film/story - all of the actors were superb, the storyline gripping and had me begging for the next episode. What a pity this drama did not continue - it could have run for years and millions of us would have been extremely grateful!

This is basically a conversation that is deep, meaningful, emotive, sentimental, and a 'behind the scenes' view of Lan Wangji. During this, I know it would be totally inappropriate, but part of me wants to see this question answer combination in the scene. Zewu Jun asks: "Why did my Mother not stay with her husband in Frigid Chambers?" Wei Ying replies: "Because the name of it does not bode well for a successful marriage or likelihood for her to have any children, perhaps!". The name of the chambers can mean 'cold', but also has another meaning.

English speakers!!! Alert!!! At 0:18 Zewu-jun here in subtitles says "he took you as his confidant".... The same goes for ep 25 when Lan Zhan asks Wei Ying what he thought of him as and he said "I saw you as my confidant"... But here's the thing, they use the word *Zhījî* which actually means *SOULMATE* In conclusion, CQL said "f*ck censorship" and WangXian is canon even in the drama ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ

Mr. Lan is disappointed but his love too strong he bring her to Cloud Recesses and hid her so no one can bring any harm. He even againts many elders just like Lan Zhan do for Wei Ying. Announce that she's the only one for him. After married Mr. Lan found another house to seclude his self. So they live separated.. Wangji and Xichen knew that their mother stay because of gratitude.

Basically, as you‘ve watched, after Wei Ying knew about Lan Zhan’s hardships after his death, he felt Lan Zhan’s love and faithfulness to him to the point where he disobeyed Lan Sect Rules. The reason why Xichen told Wei Ying about their mother and father’s story was because he was trying to make Wei Ying realize the comparison between him and Lan Zhan’s love story to Mr. and Mrs. Lan’s story. Basically, for the censorship, they went through a lot of hidden/between the lines comparisons and metaphors just to dictate the Lan Zhan wants Wei Ying to be married with him just like how Lan Zhan’s father wants Lan Zhan’s mother to be his wife. It depicted how much he loves Wei Ying despite the torment that he went through and that what he was feeling since he fell in love with Wei Ying at first sight, never faded.

@@renleichen9050 ……理性來說吧，懷孕的必備條件裡面並沒有感情這一項哦！ 我是沒有看過原著小說啦，但是在古代，女子“侍奉丈夫”(圓房)，本來就是義務之一不是嗎？ 沒有人規定，夫妻間必須互相有感情，才能發生夫妻之實吧？ 我這樣說好了。 如果他們的母親真的傾心於藍爸，那麼為何又會捨得在藍二尚年幼的時候，離開呢？ 或許就只是，她牽掛的只剩下這兩個孩子，而一個已經逐漸大了(藍大)，一個也在慢慢成長且有人會盡心照顧，已經沒有需要擔心了，不想再繼續這麼下去了吧……。 畢竟仔細想想，如果真的傾心藍爸，那麼藍爸就也會成為她的一個牽掛，斷不會捨得拋下的，不是嗎？
