I can see Lynette fitting a good role in Raiden Hypercarry if you dont have Kazuha. Sucrose's EM goes wasted due to the em not being used at all and Lynette provies an ATK% buff based on the different elemental types in the team.

I don't understand why they didn't give her and Lyney some kind of special ability when they are in team together. Kinda like twins in honkai. Why advertise them since the beginning just to not give them anything new when they release....

Couldnt hold myself... for those 2-3 people that might be interested. Ousia and Pneuma (the alignments) are I guess from Greek language, and it basically translated to Ousia=Matter and Pneuma=Spirit. is just the way we would right those words in Greeklish (Greek/English Letters)

as soon as i heard about the new mechanic i was 100% convinced it's pure gacha manipulation and i still am. if they wanted to shake up the meta they could have used niche reactions like shatter or superconduct instead of these random orientations, or add geo reactions and have those affect these new enemies somehow. or just give each element a specific interaction with the new enemies, like geo shreds def, cryo shreds phys res, electro makes them freak out, dendro slows them down etc. im glad lynette is decent but still very worried

At least she seems to have a decent and complete kit at C0, compared with some of the last released 4 starts. I also fear like Zajef that the new Fontaine Pneuma/whatever mechanic its going to be a reason to limit teambuilding and "force" to swipe for Fontaine characters more than a new mechanic to break the meta.

Personally, the thing that worries me the most about this new Ousia / Pneuma mechanic is not that it might make the new characters "required", because heck, I want to use the new characters, it would be nice if they felt useful... But the other part of the problem: that they might become obsolete once we move on to 5.x. I'm more worried that Clorinde, for example, might become unusable after this version than that she will be somehow "required" on this one.

I think since the burst is a taunt and thus can be attacked (unlike other anemo things thay can be Infused) "infusing" it might work like bloom cores, since it would theoretically have a hitbox (since its a taunt) so it might not actually be that annoying to infuse (just attack it with an element the same way you attack a bloon core), thats just a guess not a leak or anything so take it with a grain of salt

The Fontaine-character specific mechanics could easily ruin any enjoyment I have left for completing Spiral Abyss. Let's hope it's an overworld/story thing exclusively.

Hoyo should've made her a Lyney dedicated support. Would've been a nice replacement for Kazuha in mono pyro so he could be used somewhere else. I'd rather have Freminet for free as he has a very useful passive skill underwater.

Pnouma and Eusia(or whatever it's called) doesn't really scares me. Like yeah you could say that it's a way to force people to swipe the card to deal with Fontaine or the new bosses/abyss. But I don't see how it's different than other broken characters like Raiden, Nahida, Yelan... Sure, you can complete abyss without them, but frow what Hoyo said, you can kill Pnouma/Eusia enemies without weakening them. Weakening them can help, but as we see from the image, it doesn't reduces their hp for example

overall i still think she will be a decent option in a lot of teams, not gonna be the best but usable if you like her, and i think thats ok

I'm happy that she looks pretty decent, i don't have Yelan so i'm excited about finally having a dash character that isn't sayu, plus it is nice that she's being given for free because i'm not planning on pulling for lyney and 4 stars take like 5-6 months on average to return to limited banners.

Just wanted to say that I started this game as a person who only in Genshin for story and visuals, but then I stumbled on your Genshin iceberg on YT and find out about fun stuff in the game I play that I had no idea about. Since then, I started enjoying Genshin in more ways, which helped me to get through burnouts. When story wasn’t satisfying to me (khm khm Inazuma) - I could go to your channel and find some fun teams to build (ones with food names). And it was important to me - because Genshin community was one of the first online communities I have ever been a part of. Of course, I wanted to stick around for longer. In other worlds, I appreciate the way that you perceive this game, because it’s quite unique. Going in depths of seemingly simple mechanics (I *thought* that they were simple), sticking to your principles of not spending on this game (which helps too - I have other financial goals in life, so when I spend on the game it feels kinda wrong. And desire to spend disappears when you say that “you don’t *need* this to have *this* and etc” and explain why). Looking forward to seeing your content on Fontaine!

The new mechanic is absolutely for money reasons. Why would most meta players pull for these new units if they're much worse than what they already have built.

I do hope the Arkhe mechanics won't be too overbearing. I have borderline no desire for any Fontaine characters revealed thus far. Lynette is pretty much the only one I have at least a tiny interest in, as well as the blonde girl. If these mechanics are going to be the difference between 36* and not, it's going to be very frustrating because I refuse to pull a character I have no interest in.

Mostly abyss stuff cuz uhh...ThoseWhoKnow. Overworld seems fine. I think they confirmed that there's ousia/pneuma sources on the map for puzzles and maybe combat like the "dendro stations" in Sumeru, so I'm not that worried in that regard. If I saw things wrong in the stream, I'll edit this comment to correct the info. Prolly gonna say this more in future videos if they make Fontaine abyss worst case scenario, but don't feel pressured to pull a character you don't like/enjoy cuz of cringe abysses. The abyss primos aren't worth it unless you get really lucky pulling for future characters. I'm talking in a 10 pull maybe depending on how cringe abyss is gonna be. It's said you can brute force the upcoming abyss without ousia/pneuma, but I have no idea how feasible that is, and it doesn't help that the leak numbers aren't final. I could just be overly pessimistic, and I'm hoping that's the case. Good luck to everyone going into Fontaine. May you get your desired characters without hassle.

The align signed thing suppose to be each side of the abyss, so you definitely should use mc hydro in 1 side, and lynette in other side

I might just use her in Fontaine in place of sayu in my exploration team. It really depends on how good her skill is

Lynette can be fairly good in Freeze team, especially if you don't have Kazuha or if he's occupied on the other side of the Abyss. Her Infusion priority is also Cryo > Hydro, so maybe they really want players to use her in Freeze teams. Definitely better than Sucrose for Freeze.

What worries me about this Ousia/Pneuma thing is that it's Fontaine-specific. Meaning once we're done with Fontaine, we're looking at another similar gimmic for Natlan, then for Snezhnaya, then for Khaenri'ah. I was expecting something like this for Khaenri'ah (Abyss-aligned enemies getting some special powers) - but this is really early. Re: Taunts. I am fairly certain that there is an intelligence mechanic to taunts. Basically 'dumb' enemies (slimes) are much more likely to attack taunts than 'intelligent' enemies (eremites).

Honeslty if they go too hard in this ouja thing and make older characters bad in abyss it will not be cool.

This new alignment system is such a scummy addition, it gives mihoyo a way to effectively invalidate old teams and force people to pull new characters.

I’m still excited for Lyney and especially Lynette but it is very disappointing that they aren’t a 2-in-1 character let alone characters that even really synergize with each other. Feels like wasted potential.

I think ousia/pneuma concerns are severely overblown based on leaks. Likely gonna feel like fighting doritos without dendro where it is a minor inconvenience at best in abyss. Also lets be honest, it's not gonna be an issue in overworld.

05:50 I'm quite interested in her taunt. I'm planning on making her a burst support on my c6 faruzan wanderer team and her taunt could help with some defensive utility. I haven't been enjoying shielders with Wanderer because i feel like I'm losing too much damage.

8:50 reminds me of a dream I've had for a long time: A character whose E and Q are simple attacks and/or stances using the weapon, benefiting from any infusion. Can be an Anemo (Makes most sense to me) that also applies touches of Anemo along the lines of how Eula applies Cryo, and make them viable as more of a driver. Give them on-field utility and give their na/ca/e/q different benefits and there ya go, sounds amazing. How would such a character's elemental output etc. ideally sit?

I’m very worried about this new mechanic cause if they make the game unclearable cause u have to play the mechanic to stun enemies to remove there buffs then it’s going to make prior teams kinda feel bad to play. Especially if the 4 star is just terrible but has the mechanic u need. Imagine having to 3 person the abyss now and ur 4th is just a quick swap used to remove the buff cause the rest of the character isn’t actually worth running on field and has no off field presence and that’s what worries me.

I am deeply concerned over Pneuma/Ousia. I've been regularly getting 33-36 Stars with Rational and a slapdash team of Diluc, Kazuha, Zhongli, and Albedo since around Version 2.4 I think. Being punished with yet more Elemental Shields to grind unless I either use underwhelming new Units or buy powerful new Units feels like a very direct slap in the face to players like me. I'm more interested in perfecting the characters I already have invested hundreds of hours into than I am buying new ones simply because they're new; I went through all of 3.X only actually chasing C2 Nahida, who I have yet to actually finish building and gearing a new Team for. I feel like I'm being punished for not wantonly chasing new characters.

I've wanted Lynette since the Chapter Trailer 2+ years ago. Definitely swapping out Kazuha to mob around Fontaine with her and Yelan.

i hope the alignments are used as more of a catch up mechanic for lesser skilled players, and arent forced upon the player. that, or older characters are given alignments sometime soon.

This pneuma/ousia mechanic ia not new. Kinda like you have to use collei for those floaty dendro things. From the livestrean, they did emphasize that they prioritize ease of play in fontaine. So im trusting the devs.

After seeing yout video I'm kinda optimistic, although she seems very constellation dependent (not like Faruzan, but more like Thoma who gets qol constellations). I like her design and I like Lyney design a lot but his kit reeeeally worries me. We'll see in 2 weeks.

I am very Hopeful for her,my odd ideas using her in a bloom team either infusing with hydro or pyro/electro proccing cores while taunting sounds like a decent idea but need to test it first,like if the burst shots cant hit cores,does the hydro apply via swirls and shot apply enough. much to test thats for sure. if that doesnt check out she might be a decent add for my ganyu or ayaka team both with freeze and without would love some taunt/cc action. or just infuse her with benny c6 add yelan and go brrr.......mhhh infusing her with candace might have value also for some bloom teams...waits FASTER!

I ended up with several R5 Sac swords when i was rolling for R5 Redhorn Stonethresher awhile back. I will just slap one of those onto Lynette and call it a day.

If you have her c2 and her taunt actually works could she be good in a sunfire jean team. She and jean would get a lot of pyro swirls. And i dont have venti so she could be a decent "grouper" if the taunt works. I am kinda new in genshin though so dont eat me Alive if i missed something crucial XD

Shel will at the least be good if you like to make exploration teams lol anemo res and yelan travel distance while fitting in the new mechanics 😅

Can you abuse high ping (+200ms) to delay her Burst Damage to always proc reaction? Just a thought since double Overload is also possible with high ping.

For me she's literally the character i just like no matter how bad she could be but i dont know with which units i should pair her. Im thinking mostly about ayato and bennet but cant find the last character so actually putted dehya here

Imagine Xenoblade 2 Torna style vanguard swap where they tap the other twin in, pass the sword/bow, and have the non-played twin in the background providing some kind of buff to the one in the foreground

I have negative confidence that the Pneuma-Ousia will be a good thing that expands the combat system. It's a gimmick that will be present in the Fontaine life cycle and then be gone after. Maybe we see it pop-up occasionally in the abyss and/or limited events. I highly doubt they will add the gimmick to previous characters that needs some help (like what you said with Dehya). They need to sell the new characters because it's new content. At the very least Lynette seems decent so maybe we can expect the 4 stars to be decent; so we're not "forced" into pulling for the 5 stars. And I doubt hoyo will actively make a new character that is bad but is really good at using the gimmick so they make up for it. At least not for the 5 stars... but then again he had Dehya... There's still so much to explore in the reaction combat system but Pneuma-Ousia just doesn't expand on that. The best outcome would be that the new characters are good DESPITE having the gimmick.

This Alignment mechanic is very very lazy for a weakness mechanic. Specially for a game with so many ways to interact with the enemies.

With her c2 i can see her in a reverse melt team to apply more pyro Which would be pretty cool and usefull as we don't have much good pyro applicator off field

I'm honestly quite happy with her now that she's out. Definitely not the best character, but fun to play with and I really like the design. Since I stopped caring about abyss (because these days I pretty much only play for new exploration and main stoy quests), my main focus is just how fun to play my overworld team is and how much I like the design of the team members. So far my overworld team was Wanderer - Faruzan - Yelan - Layla and now Lynette took Yelan's spot. Sure the damage is quite a bit worse, but it's still more than enough for anything in the overworld and she's basically an anemo Yelan with a cuter, less hot design :D

It sadly looks like sell tactic - they dont have new element that ppl will want to roster for. They dont want powercreep so the only way to force you to again pass the cringe process of building a new unit/grind new artefacts is to think about a gimmik that will gently force you to pull new units.

how good is she in mono pyro, mono cryo and freeze teams? cus those are teams that sucrose wont be contributing as much towards as usual cus their teammates wont benefit from her em buffs, so how good of a 4* alternative to kazuha is she, compared to sucrose?

4.40 i agree 100 percent this will happen even if its not intended becuse they will inevitably add these enemy's to the abyss and i think it will be a worse than the simon boss like the simon boss if you caint abuse strong electro and dendro characters you doint have a shot for 36 stsrts as a casual player but this will only be a abyss problen as i dought the enemy's will have enough health to survive one rostation of a razer main in the overworld

5:23 thus far , they have kept their elements on check except geo Electro was falling off so dendro gave it a massive buff Falling off characters like keqing are revitalised so I am going to be optimistic and hope they know what they are doing

I think that no matter what they could have done with Lyney and Lynette, people would have complained about them. If they had some unique mechanic together, people would complain about requiring 2 people on the team to deal with Fountaine's new system. Or you can argue that if they took up 1 slot, how would they generate energy, would they even have a burst. How would they swop, and if they do swop, it'd be the first 2 elements 1 character slot, thus triggering way too many possible outcomes. Then in the case in which they dont do that, people are disappointed. Honestly I am too, but I have always expected that Hoyo would do us like this since they released Xingqiu

To use the new mechanic I will use level 1 Lynette then pair her with level 90 triple crown Shogun, Miko and Nahida 😂😂.
