Welcome to Necrit aka the Lore Guy. His whole content is basically Lore for LoL and when the MMO launches man is his KZfaq channel basically going to be an encyclopedia. We don't have any information on the MMO other than Ghostcrawler is working on it and that its set in Runeterra. Please don't misunderstand some of what he's saying. This video is to give insight into the world of league, NOT the mmo. He is just explaining the lore and giving his opinion on what stuff may be like and the stories we could get. The art, map, and explanations were just to help you better understand the world. The stuff you see is art made to promote different things or to go along with stories (to my knowledge riot has not released anything to promote their mmo yet, it was literally just a tweet). Riot could very well change what they do with it when it comes out but for now just don't take everything that was said/shown at face value. You can play LoL without knowing anything about the lore. So yes, you have to dig to know the lore, like reading the characters' short bios or going to the official w3bsit3. Btw, some of the art in the video are from the spin-off card game Legends Of Runeterra and some are in the w3bsit3.

you should do league's cinematics. League players love to see people first time playing their game or watching their fancy cinematics, trust me it got tons of views on youtube

I suggest just watching all the cinematics if you want more league content and how they evolved their lore over time

About the qestion you asket "Do LoL player know about the lore" the short anser is: Not the lore Only some champions have voiclines in the game that tease their storys. Irelia is probably the most common one, she never stop being angry to any Noxian about the war in Ionia and even when stand and still or just walking she keep listing names of the fallen to remember them. Another source they can get the lore are the video they made, the mosrt recent one being "The Call", those videos are almost certain to be watch. But most if not all of them are connected to 2 ore more story that are not tell to the player... ..and there there is the line between the player who just play the game and anyone who read the lore. The lore can be found on their site where you can find soo much pages of text. Only few champion now have almost no lore, and some have way to much story in comparison. But regardless of the number of sheet a champion have they show the actuall window of the world the MMO could give us. There is actually another game that "dive" into the lore, but it became non canon nowadays, is caled Legends of Runeterra and is a card game (it's where all the refine art comes from) Another way is to go on the Necrit channel (the one who made this video) and watch the video of the reagion/character you want. He read all the lore and stories of the universe and this video is a summonary of what he what to mention.

WoW killed themselves before other titles do, Riot MMO is a new era and nothing comes closer not even AoC. The resemblance between the past Blizzard and Riot is the same if not better by establishing games and having a big fan based community. As I've witness in the past, League of Legends fans has been drooling for these kind of content whenever Riot would tease them with great-produced but short teasing animations and they didn't fail to deliver when Arcane came and now their upcoming MMO will sate the fans in another level and would even rake in new ones. I'm not even hyping, was there since the beginning, they revolutionized the MOBA and FPS genre (from DOTA and CSGO) and I wouldn't even be surprised if they pull it off in MMO.

They are working on a fighting game as well.

The Riot universe is huge, lots of potential.

So something of a little known fact but necrit the person whos video you were watching has actually been put into riots ruined king game as a npc you interact with as well as being mentioned in a live music concert riot put on a few years back. The amount of time and effort hes put in over the years to make the lore easily understandable has been a godsent for any people who enjoy storys but dont know where to start when it comes to league (even tho riots writers have done a insanely good job of making the storys self contained enough to make sense with no context but also be interconnected and expanded upon in different storys)

I'll be looking forward to Ashes of Creation myself, but Riot could definitely make lots of noise with this title when it comes out.

I trust riot more than most companies mainly due to how they monetize their games. They made a card game (thats where most of the art in this video is from) where you cant buy packs. Like card game players accept buying packs as standard so they essentially decided to leave a sack of money on the ground

I feel like you were only half watching the video. He's talking about potential of the MMO, it's not at all about how far along it is, nor what's actually in it. Holy crap man. Plus, you seem to pay attention to your stream or chat more than the video, since most of the video is just silence with you looking back and forth between things on camera. I feel like instead of an area to fight in, Piltover and Zaun would be an area filled with shops like a merchant city. Piltover is where the Expensive OP stuff is and Zaun is where the "cursed" items are found and also the black market

Ruined King is a really good game. I normally never play rpgs but really liked it. Story is really cool too

You only see all this lore if you take your time exploring and reading the universe webpage they have, which has from novels and short stories to comics and cinematics with a lot of concept artwork of the world and an interactive map which he usedd on the video. League of Legends, the game itself is just focused on the gameplay, you get into a match, pick a champion and play, you miss a lot of lore if you rely on the game giving it to you. The card game gives you more lore with each different card but still, those who want to learn more always end up going to the webpage reading what they want.

There is literally no insight on the game currently. This is just showing the world and what can be imagined in the game. I'm hoping we will hear something sometime next year though. I wouldn't expect the game to be out until 2026 the earliest as they started hinting it in 2019.

To give you a perspective of how many people will be behind this. Look up the view count on the original WOTLK cinematic(23M views) and compare that too the "the call" 2022 League of Legends season cinematic (139M views) to say this will be the most anticipated/hype game release in history is probably spot on. Riot Games hasn't missed yet, we'll see.

The term wow killer is just a meme at this point. The only way wow dies is if Blizzard themselfs pull the plug to the servers it dosent matter how shitty it gets ppl are still gonna play it even if its just for the new zones, story or just to be able to say that u played it. It dosent matter if u hate mmos or just wow in general no1 can honestly say that wow isent the face of the mmo genre. Now a days its a shell of its former self and its golden days is clearly over. 38:45 Thats because theyre not. Theyre focusing specific demographics to increase player numbers. They wont help YOU... youre already an invested player, they alrady got you. And they can åush you quite far before you actually quit once youre inthat deep. Blizzard is basically satan in coorperate from. Theyre the greediest, cheapest, most narcissistic company in gaming, which is saying alot when there are studios like EA still around. They dont give a fakk about making a good game, they havnt in years. Their only concern is "what demograhic have we NOT hooked yet and how do we go about it". They dont think "Big picture" at all, quite the opposite,, they have "special interests" and "Focus" groups pin pointing sectors yet untapped.
