YES IT IS, I FOUND THIS LORE TO BE QUITE FUNNY BUT ALSO DARK IN ELDEN RING, I wanted to make a video that was more laid back, I felt over the last couple videos I was micro managing them to the point of exhaustion so this felt much more refreshing, I'm not even sure if you all will notice, but none the less it was much more fun, videos should be coming out more frequently so ILL SEE YOU ALL SOONER THAN LATER, sorry for caps

Fun fact. Shard of Alexander you get for defeating him at Farum Azula is literally a chunk of Radahn. If you look at the icon for radahns armor that you get, its missing a small chunk out of its chest. Looks like it matches the shards icon perfectly.

@@hidan407 its Dark to think about using humans/humanoid's body parts as weapons because WE are human, and there *can* be horror implications But fact of the matter is, using what you hunt as equipment is as old as the stone age, that's as natural as cavemen were Honestly, saying weapons made from body parts is creepy is a bit of a hot take its what our ancestors from millions of years ago, and maybe still today with animals is

I have a place to put this, i love this detail. The balloons. You pop them for Runes- which are described as Warm. That basically means the Carians are using decently sized runes to heat air in balloons to have them float. I love that, idk why

Probably because "tako" is Japanese for octopus, but then they misspelled it and now they're Mexican food.

@@MettanAtemIt's not mispelled, it's tarnishterated, I mean, transliterated. Japan doesn use either C nor K, they use their own sign (hiragana, katakana, kanji). The kanji for octopus sounds the same whether you ise C or K.

@@nundulan Not always. K is preferred because Ka Ke Ki Ko Ku remains the same phonema, while Ca Ce Ci Co Cu doesn't. But that's the only reason. So, taco is not misspelled, it just doesn't follow the convention. Convenion doesn't mean rule, by the way. It means custom.

If the lightning balls are called wisps then they are not the souls of the dead. They are very obviously just willow the wisps from European folklore. They were little orbs of ghost light thought to frequent bogs, marshes, and other wetlands. They would often mislead people traveling at night and while not necessarily thought of as "evil" were a bad omen.

i think weapons that were made of enemies or monsters in ELDEN RING was meant to be something that is craftable like in Monster Hunnter Series i think they just drop that idea because of Monster Hunter itself?

Making weapons/tools from bones and other animal parts has been a thing since prehistoric times so there could be plenty of sources of inspiration for that.

They’re drops from enemies that use similar weapons and or historic items used by people around the lands before you, it’s just how the souls series has always done it every single souls game and souls like does the same thing for the most part. Plus with boss weapons you do sorta craft them in a way from the soul of said felled boss, However it’s not really the same exactly. But Monster Hunter didn’t invent the idea of making items from parts of dead creatures, pretty much any game ever with a crafting system has had the same concept.

It's pretty normal for dark souls. In Dark souls 1 you could even cut enemies tail in order to get a nice bonus weapons.

Tanith's mask isnt modeled afted her own face. The description says its modeled on a foreign queen. Tanith was a dancer (probably one of the dancers like those in Dominula, as they were originally from Gelmir, and probable pagan snake worshippers) when she met Rykard, and I doubt she was both a dancer and a queen Its still probable that the Iron/Abductor Virgins/Maidens (From, just pick one name and stick with it) are based on Tanith. Their face is similar but different from Tanith's mask, and the snakes that burst forth from its lower body is a symbolic recreation of the "repellant birthing ritual" that resulted in snake-human hybrids born from the womb of a human woman. Presumably, Tanith takes on a motherly role to all the snake people, not just Rya; she may have been the one to give birth to the snake people, but it seems more likely it was Daedicar, referenced in the Daedicar's Woe description.

The balls, I found one that if you avoid it and make it off a cliff near a bridge that a dragon guarded(been a while since I've played so forgot names and that, but there's also a tower there) you get a lot of runes, there was another ball down the track, so I respawned and went to both and got them to chase me to a cliff and avoided them. But only one gave a big amount, the other was tiny, but I found that if I kept respawning near the tower getting the runes from it crashing over cliff and rinse and repeat, I could level pretty quick. Always made me curious why balls had runes and missed the part what said they were mimics

From left to right, those weapons are Family Heads, Celebrant's Skull, and Ancestral Infant Head. Ancestral Infant Head technically isn't categorized as a weapon but rather a reusable tool. So yes, they are real weapons you can find in the game

I just wish there were a few more filler weapons, like basically another uchi with different colors, more basic straight swords with different colors. If you want an infusible weapon you usually have like 2 choices per class, and if you don't like how they look you're kind of boned. Like the brown uchi is fine but I really miss the black sheathe, and the washing pole clipping through the floor gives me an aneurism

Lore about animals who suck blood to reproduce isn't that far-fetched, common mosquitoes do indeed need to feed on blood to produce eggs ... Although the animal in question being a landborne octopus is certainly a funny idea.
