Literally everything Dump said about “windmills” is wrong, including what he calls them. Wind power is less than half the cost of coal power, cheaper than natural gas by far, and a tiny fraction of the cost of nuclear.

So are we going to just ignore that roads need to be replaced or repaired for every 10 - 20 - 30 years? Like most industrial equipment.... That rusts or decays? Shoot, even some more widely used buildings need looking at within that time frame. That was such a BS 'fun fact' that only someone who truely has no clue would latch on to it. *edit to correct some grammar. Btw I have worked in construction and carpentry and have asked questions and checked labels on equipment for sheer curiosity is where I got those numbers from.

This is so like Republicans.. they love to misconstrue the numbers to seem like something they oppose is worse than it is. Take gas prices, 2008 saw a record high of what would be $5.75 US today.. and they're mad it's $5.3 after two years of oil companies reducing their production rates due to Covid and the reduced demand. It had nothing to do with Russian production, which also declined under Covid, a big deal for a petrostate that lives off oil revenue. Should clue people in to the fact it's an industry wide issue because of how basic Capitalism works, not political.

Thankfully one such technician didn't follow the directive. He suspected the incoming nukes he saw on the computer were a glitch and due to a highly improbable atmospheric condition, he was correct.

FWIW, Europe has had defence ships & planes around the Black Sea & Baltic Sea for several years as a deterrent. In recent months, Royal Air Force jets have been scrambled more than usual to 'escort' Russian jets from UK airspace. Ditto Ireland. Putin struck fast. But the lower level stuff has been ongoing for years. I wish US news would do better.

Its a wake up call to Russian citizens that live under a constant barrage of misinformation and have, until recently, stayed silent while their government ran amok. Its not hard to feel sorry for them when there's plenty of people in the US that are just as oblivious and misguided. The only thing thats gonna stop that invasion is winning over hearts and minds. The Russian people need to be made aware how serious and dire the situation is. A lot of them believe Russia really isnt doing anything wrong. When they see all the western luxuries disappear, maybe then they'll understand that something globally unjust is taking place right under their nose.

Prayers to all those in Ukraine that have been injured, killed or relocated. The people of Russia need to know the truth of Putin's lies. It seems unimaginable that some haven't believed their loved ones that had to flee Ukraine or figured out why those Independent News stations are no longer broadcasting and why many businesses have left Russia. If the people of Russia don't rise up now, it will only be a matter of time before they find out members of their families had been injured or killed as a result of this invasion by Russia under Putin.

A bucket is better than a bowl. Much less likely to spill. Five gallon bucket lined with a plastic bag is a great choice -- you can hug it much better and more comfortably than a bowl or toilet, less likely to spill, and easy clean up with a liner ✌

But if I may differ, the issue is that in no way “windmills” (he means wind turbines) do kill birds like airplanes and cars. The comedy lies in the fact that Trump who cares about nothing and no one but himself suddenly seems to care about the health of birds.
