Thanks so much for sharing these "Zentanglian creations". What I love is that when you show us these..we are able to go beyond just copying what you've done, but they are so easily morphed into our own unique take on the basic shape. Please keep bringing us these videos...I love "Tangling"... Thank you both!!!

I like the way you present new tangles and your musings as you go along. I'd love to see more videos from you that follow this basic format. Other videos are in time lapse so they're frenetic and have bad music instead of a nice calming voice. But yours are so accessible, well-paced and warm. ... Please make more!

We referenced his proper full name early on in the youTube at the 0:49 spot. We call the tangle "mooka" as a sort of "hat's off" to the artist, as the inspiration. I think he would have liked that.

Great idea..I only heard about Zentangle last week..Just thought this might make you smile.I've recently joined a group of disabled female artists and craftswomen here in Brighton UK..Alot of the ladies have rheumatoid arthritis and MS and have really limited mobility in their hands.I saw the Zentangle work they've done and was blown away its so beautiful.I hear you say the word "mobius " well they've created mandala designs that fade into infinity..Thanks for teaching them and ME something new..if you invented the technique..well done .we can't have too many female designers:) Cheers Sophie:)

yeah I went to Art School and seen some Molokai work . One thing I liked about his art-work was his different approaches in style very creative and almost abstract in some ways . Within the people he did outside of the people he would do these very different designs. Again look abstract patterns but also have a lot of depth . thanks for sharing this video of this amazing Artist.

That is the pencil "string" we fit the tangles in. It is a suggestion as to where to place tangles. You can see I sometimes fit them in, and sometimes ignore it. The beauty of the Zentangle Method. The pencil string disappears when the Zentangle is complete. Like a magic trick.
