I drive a forklift it doesn't take that long to stage a load, and load it on the truck including paper work . I do it everyday. These people are just lazy.

One thing you have to realize theses people working for theses big shippers don’t care. It’s nothing off their back they are paid by the hour. They can care less if anything moves. Just the way it will always be.

Justin, you didn't have a clue on why those 2 guys were watching the Braves. Maybe they had already put in many hours and were just waiting for rides. Maybe their company has a strict time limit on hours worked. Maybe they just said the hell with it because it s a Friday night and They want to be home with there family or take the bride out for the evening. There is an old saying that says, don't complain until you've walked a mile in my shoes. People should remember that.

I guess people that work in that warehouse aren't supposed to take breaks.

If you really want to look out for your kids future, keep them out of that trucking freight industry. 😁

One thing to add to crossing a scale is to turn off the radio and roll down your window. That way, you can hear any verbal instructions given.

Word of advice……even though traffic is backed up, you are still not allowed in the left lane in Georgia….high dollar ticket and high points on the CDL..

I drove to wal mart, down by Atlanta, it took 15 minutes to unload truck, 4 hrs to get my paper work to me, the digital is even more insane

I remember once, when I was a rookie and driving for Werner, out in the middle of nowhere Arkansas I arrived at a shipper. There was a sign with instructions for drivers to call and check in; however, I had no service. Another driver who arrived after me didn't have any service either. We were knocking on doors trying to find someone to talk to and eventually did and they told us to leave and find a place where we could call to check in, that is easier said then done. I contacted my dispatcher and manager via tablet in my tractor and told them about my situation and they must have put a fire under their a$$, because a "person", who was rude, eventually walked out to our trucks and begrudgingly processed our BOL's and gave us a doc #. I had to blind side 90 into the doc and was able with little stress. But my entire day was shot found a Walmart and proceeded to Albuquerque the next day.

Had a load rejected yesterday took 8 hrs for them to figure out where to take it they notified me at 330 pm and we had to be there by 6 pm in DFW rush hr traffic.

I remember running dry van and dealing with that kind of crap constantly. Switched to flatbed 3 years ago and that issue almost completely disappeared. Of course you'll have the occasional lazies but not nearly at the rate I experienced in dry van. Purely a dry van, reefer issue.

Just not always good to assume that everyone you see can load trucks. And if they are. Then I totally agree with you 100%. But not everyone in the building is loaders.

Justin the problem is that most truck drivers are impatient and always in a rush thanks to two factors the 30 min break where truck drivers park in the fuel island and blocking it and also everyone waiting the last second of their clock to find parking for their 10 hour break.

A lot of these shippers are following the Amazon way, to maintain a grade with them you must do 3 loads a week. It’s beneficial to the shipper because that’s a minimum of loads a week to move their freight. Bad for us because the rates are crap

You’re right about that just take it in with the truck for you you’re stuck in traffic that wasn’t your fault but me she got another solar panel delivery and you’re right the buyers are trying to keep all the money to their selves they don’t care about the truck. Driver should have to drive through all the traffic through all the bad weather set an ass to change but keep your head up. I’m praying that something will change for all the truck drivers out there. Just tried getting a trailer alignment and two different shops said they can't because they don't have a qualified technician that's certified to do it. I think the whole workforce in America nobodys qualified to do anything anymore.

How do the rates today compare to pre-Covid rates? My son, who works in logistics, told me that the shipping rates today are kind of what they were pre Covid and that they had gone way up from 2020 -2022.

if they .. mesiur tyre presiur they use ultrasonic radar on the side of the road.. if they use load sensors in the road .. and if you load same psi in all wheels it can be you air suspention sensor not airing even

shipper and receivers have gotten lazy. I've gone to places whee the local drivers say they are union at the place and only have to load 4 trucks an hour for the whole facility. He said they find any reason to turn away the road drivers. 😡😡

Man; love your videos. Try to do some direct contract with your local shippers; solar panels, etc. Your good with people face to face; offer them custom preferential treatment; would work well for both sides; cut the broker out.

Hi Justin please help put word out for a fellow owner operator. I booked a load from this broker called Map Transit out of Florida; on the rate con they agreed to pay $2200. After I dropped the load off they shorted me $500 claiming I was late 15min. I don’t want this to happen to other drivers thanks man.

"Sad for America" is not new. I retired in 2016...and that sad situation was in effect before then, also. Instead of 2 dozen fork-trucks running on the day shift ... evening shift will have 2 or 3, graveyard shift will run just 1. Especially around Atlanta.

At the drop off point. The receiver took forever to finally unload us yesterday. We met with a driver hauling a flatbed trailer load. And we switched trailers. He was like huh u got ur granny in there and Mr's Daisy popped her head out and said me 2. He was like damn who's sleeping where. He seen the sleeping area. Top bunk bed is a big twin size bed. It's like 6'5 long fit's Jesse easy. Nana and Mr's Daisy sleep on the bottom bed which is a full size bed and it folds up. And u can sit-down at the table and eat or play cards or dominoes. Kid's was like when u guys coming home and Nana was like dunno cause we are going to Nevada and see friends. Ebd go play in the sand dunes. Nana was like hell yeah thank god she wanted to go back there and ride the sandrails again and Daisy was like hell yeah woohoo and Jesse was like WOOHOO the same way Homer Simpson does it. Kids are liking me and Jesse being on the road. They had friends over last night playing games. Plus I can monitor everything with Simplisafe. I accidentally scared there friend talking through the speaker and she was stunned and was like wtf who said that. Nathan (oldest son) showed her the camera and she was like oh hi Jessie. I had her call me. Cause talking through the speaker of the security system will confuse the cat's and dog's.
