Both will work, just depends on how big of a setup you want. Personally i'd go the Crane 2S, as it's a bit smoother and smaller

I'm assuming that the Crane 3S has a lot of clearance but the Crane 2S.. doesn't it come with an extension arm as well?

Crane 3s has a tonne of room with that extension arm. The crane 2s has an arm to change the rear arm from 90 degrees to 45 degrees. But no extension arm.
