Personally Zhoushen still young gave a 100% CD perfect Amazing performance for this “Happy Face” with better interpretation and super transmitting vocal utterance! This was the first public performance of Zhoushen on the 25/7/2014 while his was still doing his vocal training Bel Canto opera tenor in a very famous vocal University in Ukraine. Her original is impressive, she has a strong voice with a nice range and the song itself is a small jewel I cannot tire of listening to. What Zhou Shen does is using his phenomenal breath control to give even more amplitude to the verses. This subtly changes the nature of the song. The original is a lyrical confession of a woman who is hurting inside, it's very doleful. Zhou Shen makes it more abstract, more detached from the human plane. It's like a god singing about a love he lost thousands of years before.

Here, ZS was auditioning for Voice China (beginning part). So, this was just him starting & testing his skills n standards to see if this is a career for him. Was a student then and not a music major. However as a child he loves music. His parents left him and his sister with his grandparents because they had to work elsewhere to earn enuf for the family. When most young boys voices changed, his did not. So he was mercilessly teased & shamed. So he retreated into music to keep his sanity.
