His first touch was just magical never have I seen a player take a ball like him with any part of his body then play with it made others around him better and opposition look like amateurs . The greatest manager ever Sir Alex Ferguson said " Give me 10 planks of wood and Zidane Zidane and I'll win the champions league. " Say no more, truly in a league all of his own in an era of great players and great teams.

I don't remember having seen a player put his opponent on his ass so much... this guy was an ultimate genius. His dribbles at Juventus were wild, they became silk at Real Madrid. Name me a single player who has won everything, carried on the shoulders of each of his teams and so beautiful and rare to see play that we will watch his highlights in 30 more years

Majestic prime Zidane🔥 What a treat! From his Iconic moments to his sublime technique and his spectacular dribbling...I have only watched this five times. The two things that stood out for me this season was his array of passing and his incredible ball retention. This season prolly cemented him as arguably the best ball retainer in history imo. Prior to Euro 2004 Sven G Erickson once said that during Zizou's time in Serie A 'It was impossible to get the ball of him'.. And I swear Zidane had 20 plus potential assists this season.. including @ 8:28 and 12:43 brilliant! Fantastic choice of music too..especially Nuvole Bianche.

Serie A was a much tougher and competitive league than La Liga. Also at Juventus he played more freely as a proper central attacking midfielder, at Real Madrid he played on the left hand side of midfield cutting in field with Roberto Carlos occupying the whole left flank.

...zidane displaying or making it visible to all that 'I am the Godfather , this is my theatre (turf) . I am not going to say he is the best footballer ever because there might have been an individual or even individuals who were better than him but were unlucky not to be scouted or video recorded . But hand on heart, from all the videos I have seen of other great players It has to be said Zidane is or was on another level . He was naturally gifted, now that is what you call 'raw' talent. History tells us now and again geniuses are born, but very rarely will someone come and 'outshine' them. 'A Monster at Peak' , very true, evidenced in this video to all his critics .

This is Maradona level kind of technical superiority... Absolutely out of reach. It's time to acknowledge that Zidane is one of the 5 or 6 best alltime players. Definitely best european player ever ( and I'm 60 : I saw both Cruyff and Platini ). I would say with Pelé, Maradona, Messi, Cruyff and Nazario. Some people would add Ronaldinho. I don't care. Zidane is up there.

Simply amazing. I would recommend if possible doing it for the first season in Madrid, where he wanted to prove himself again. Though initially had a tough start, it all came down to his left foot at the end of the season. Again, you are doing an amazing job...

How many assists here missed by inzhaghi and other team mates?it was even worst when he played for france henry particularly wasted his assists. Henry was sensational in euro 2000 final .It is also worth mentioning zidane himself missed easy chances in euros and for a player of his caliber his statistics dont do any justice to his immense talent and genius.

Yes, he would have won that year but because his assault on the Nuremberg or Hamburg player with a headbutt on one of the nights of the European Champions League in the group stage. That incident cost Zizou the Golden Ball, which he lost to Luis Figo, even though he did not win any title with Barcelona that year, nor with Portugal. But Florentino Perez's influence was behind that coronation.

Maradona era un eccesso di agilità, Pele' di forza fisica, Ronaldo di entrambe, Cristiano Ronaldo un eccesso di palestra, altri ancora sono stati sbilanciamento difensivo/offensivo. Zidane era diverso, era in costante equilibrio, era l'equilibrio perfetto, per questo lo considero il più grande di tutti i tempi. Chi lo definisce solo elegante non lo ha capito nemmeno per 1 secondo, Zidane era letteralmente il gioco della sue squadre e funzionava alla grande considerando la bacheca. Potevi chiederti; come gioca la Juve? Rispondevi Zidane. Come gioca la Francia? Zidane. Come gioca il Real? Zidane. Quell'eleganza non era mai fine a se stessa, era la massima applicazione della predisposizione e del talento per il gioco del calcio. A 360°. Non è una cosa che puoi misurare solo dalle statistiche, con Zidane le statistiche si pesano, così come le giocate. Ti costringe a capirne di calcio

The difference with Zizou in Juve and Real is that he was younger of course and the body was more flexible with speed. After a great action he didn’t fall on the ground and was always away from his opponent. In Real he also had many of those moments but you could see it became more difficult. His vision there was perhaps better but skills were not as in Juve

I don't think it was necessarily him being younger and more flexible in Juve. When he went to Madrid the teams structure was different, especially the creative side. He had more help in terms of creating opportunities for the forwards. He did not have to do it all by himself, as we clearly saw he did in Juve. He wasn't constantly dribbling and forcing the attack through the middle. They moved the ball differently in Madrid, a lot more wide play with himself and Figo who loved the ball and taking on players. Bottom line, he had way more help in Madrid and didn't have to be pushing it as hard as he had to in Juve(being the only creative force). He still showed that he could do it many times throughout his Madrid tenure, and his never dipped. He just had much better finishers at Real (Inzaghi especially was sub-par, he needed maybe 10 chances to get 1 goal)

Many don't know that Zinedine (means beauty of the religion)Zidan parents are from Algeria from the Kabilie region. He was born in France. He has that special blood of his ancesters(berbers, great fighters) in him

This was probably the first season where Zidane really became the star man at elite club level. Very few assists (if I remember) but his dribbling that season is definitely my favourite to watch

You can see how a lot of scoring opportunities were wasted by his team mates. I m not saying they were easy but he'd have far more assists.

3:58 언제 지단을 처음 본지 정확히 기억은 안나지만 저 인간같지 않은 테크닉을 보고 찐팬을 해야겠다 처음 생각했던것 같네요 지단 발롱 다큐랑 세리에 경기 오프닝에도 들어간 장면으로 기억되는데 20년이 지난 지금 봐도 신선하고 경이로운 무브먼트에요

Uhm... 1998 WC will not be uploaded because of copyright issue. And french videos are so vast that it will be difficult right now. I'm going to have to work on a couple of club series first. Sorry!
