Its hard to say something that hasn't been said before about Zidane already, I've never seen a player with such incredible ability with both feet in my life. Any one playing now take note its one of the things that set him apart. Another is his ability and willingness to stay on his feet. Another is just how unselfish he was he did what only he could without being flash and brought everyone else into the game, he never made it all about himself but all about the team something that rarely gets mentioned the most beautiful naturally gifted player ever. Even at 34 still looked head and shoulders above those around him so glad to have seen such a player never seen before or since. Legend.

Fantastic end to this season by season series. Statistically, 2005/2006 was actually one of Zizou's best seasons in Madrid. His 2005/2006 stats were similar to 2002/2003. As a matter of fantasy, would have loved to see prime Zidane playing for Pep's Mancity. Curious to know how Pep would've used him. Excellent work with these compilations. Hats off to you! 🙌🏾

Zidane retired earlier than he had to. He definitely had some years left in him, especially after that WC 2006 performance. But he knew his body better than everyone else of course and maybe it is for the better so we didn't have to see a drastic decline before he retires. Like we see with Cristiano Ronaldo right now.
