From 1998 to 2002 Zimbabwe was strong contender, their game plan always used to be exceptional fielding saving runs and then maximizing as team unit , they had players who could have been among greats Neil Johnson, heath streak , grant , Campbell, onlanga and specially Andy flower my fav, just look at his record most consistent. 2003 when problem starts all players left and now current Zimbabwe team is merely a ghost .

I remember this match very well. It was from the standard bank triangular series 2000. This also included England as third team. I don't understand y did sa discontinue these triangular series. Infact the world series in Australia had helped Aussies win the wc and popularise their cricket well but now sa team which is chocking much in world tournament needs more triangular or world series than a bilateral series so that their choking habits can be avoided if they play these kinds of series regularly as they don't have a successful premier league.

In year 2000, 31 runs needed in 30 balls and every spectator sitting in the corner of their seat by thinking it will be nail biting finish where as in year 2020 it is one sided match as batting team will win the match. T20 cricket ruined excitement of odi cricket.
