I wish ZA4 was more like the Sniper Elite games. Just picture this, a lone operative tasked with eliminating Nazi cultists responsible for summoning and commanding the undead hordes. Expansive maps where you have to locate said cultist while avoiding packs of zombies otherwise they'll summon the rest towards your location, meanwhile the cultists will gradually summon tougher zombies as time goes on and when your spotted. Culminating in a mission where you have to destroy several cursed altars in order to open a shot on Mr. Uno-ballok himself.

I freaking loved Strange Brigade and constantly wish they'd continue that IP.

Holy cow, you know what League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is? I know of like no one else who knows that movie.

To be honest, after strange brigade they really improved secondary weapons and pistols.

The whole ‘you shouldn’t snipe the zombies in this game’ angle that yahtzee made is practically the same as his ‘you shouldn’t stealth around in metal gear survive’ angle, because in the end they are zombies that have no ranged attacks and are of no actual danger to anyone outside of 15 feet cause it’s not like they’re gonna call in backup or an attack helicopter

Tried to watch this last week on their website but the player they use is just _so_ broken.

this reminds me of that terminator game from last year, it had no new ideas, and recycled mechanics from every other game under the sun, but it was fun to play and did its job with competence and composure

Played the game recently and really enjoyed it. Sure, it's not exactly the most original of games, but it does do some cool stuff with the whole occult nature of the zombies, rather than the usual virus thing. The zombie tanks (not the L4D kind, literal armored tanks filled with guts and organs) and that monstrosity of a final boss come to mind. Two of the DLCs even feature a giant, zombified zeppelin, which sure isn't a thing you see every day. All in all a very fun time that I can absolutely recommend. I did notice that the sniping felt a little less important than in the previous titles, but it sure did come in mighty handy against those bloody zombie snipers.

Honestly, Rebellion's VR game 'Arca's Path' was quite enjoyable and used a core game mechanic I haven't come across anyone else using... They keep it well hidden, but do try some new stuff sometimes!

In my state theres a zombie laser tag haunted house where the actors where sensors on their heads and as you go through the house you and your friend shoot them and earn points. I stopped playing NZA4 like a serious game and started playing it like it was a romp through a cheap haunted house with all sort of cool Easter eggs and mini puzzles and it made the game infinitely better

In Rebellion's defense, at least they're keeping 2000AD alive.

I mean, there's a solid concept in the idea of a zombie game revolving around sniping. Limited ammo and zombies not dying (or stopping moving) until their heads are destroyed (including being dismembered) would mean any spray and pray tactics would be reserved for a desperate last resort defence. Make them fast when chasing you and close-range headshots with a handgun are only viable with zombies who are alone.

If there was a scene with zombie Hitler wrestling Churchill it could have saved a game like this

If you want a fun time, play on Hard. If you want to test yourself play on Hard and turn the volume of the zombies up to 3 or 4 players, that way you don't breeze through the missions too quickly (if you consider up to an hour quick), a mission set to that will give you a sturdy 2 - 3 hour fight against a horde that actually poses a threat to you. Sniping wise Yahtzee pretty much sums it up, there's no real need to use the rifle unless youre against the heavies or countering zombie snipers. I tend to go around with 1 of the 2 shotguns and it's a bit of a cake-walk. My only gripe is that even with kill-cam frequency set to max, I barely ever get one unless it is over a set distance, like 150m+, and have only ever had maybe 5 from a mine or grenade. Back in Zombie Army Trilogy you'd get one for just sneezing... I wish you could get them for the sidearms and secondary weapons.

Title and everything else aside as Yahtzee said it's a dumb fun game. I like these games zombie army games. The world needs some dumb fun games. No leveling up no collecting resources no grinding for gear or loot. Just dumb fun shooting zombies.

The most fun I have had playing coop in years! Honestly I was giving gaming a rest from being burnt out by all the mediocre titles this gen. Then my buddy convinced me to buy this game. Well, I've been playing everyday. Even the days I am so tired from work and usually would never play a game. I havnt been into a game this much in a decade. Trust me , if you have a buddy to play with , get it! And if your old enough to remember playing Left For Dead and missing how much fun you use to have then by all means, play this game!!!!! Your welcome Oh yea..this review is funny. Made me laugh. But do not decide on whether to buy the game or not from this. Or you will miss a very fun game. Trust me, I've been gaming a long time(45yrs old)
