It is a wonderful experience to be able to watch highly skilled craftsmen at work. A good friend of mine spent his life doing art glass paper weights. I spent hours in his shop watching him shape molten glass with precision. We became friends when I shared my woodworking knowledge with him. Truly a pleasure for craftsman from different fields to admire the skills hard won over a lifetime and a testament to our masters.

@@cynic3859ну так то занятно, есть канал "примитивные технологии" (перевод с английского мой) так там мужик буквально из грязи палок делает всякое, так у него просмотры взлетают до небес сразу после выпуска ,быстрее чем надутые на пропагандистских каналах

Я работал на маленьком литейном производстве художественных изделий. В основном изделия тоже были из бронзы. Это тяжелая работа. Тяжёлые условия труда. Достаточно вредное производство. Но это больше дань традициям. Сейчас тоже самое можно получить на больших заводах, с автоматизированным производством, из порошковой металлургии.

At 5:30 I might say something like "here the patterns are coated with carbon (soot) so the bronze doesn't stick to the pattern". Something like that. People use black soot like this as a mold release in other casting operations.

青銅是會導熱的.就這個亮晶晶的器皿相信創業100年的老字號剛開始大部分做的是祭器.而不是讓人拿在手裡吃飯喝粥盛湯用的.

beautiful work and excellent craftsmanship, but absolutely brutal to see basically no PPE beyond worn gloves on any of the workers, if the factory is making luxury products (bronze tableware) you'd think they could afford to not give their workers tinnitus and black lung

Actualy bronze casting is clean compared to iron, even in the USA, small bronze foundries don't have any masks. This video is from Korea, these guys are payed well, their work is also recognised as Korean heritage and used in movies and TV shows. I've visited Seoul and Busan in Korea and it's absolutely one of my favorite places on earth, and I would recommend to anyone to spend a few days in seoul if you ever get the chance.

@@paint4pain I'm pretty sure the bag of charcoal powder to keep the mold from sticking isn't clean, and the loud high pitch noises working with a lathe makes will deafen you over time regardless of how beautiful the country you're doing it in is. Can't speak to how well they're paid, but I don't think it'll cover the irreversible damage from lacking PPE.

Mate, we still have a fokin conscription system and what are you expecting from this goddamn country Blue collared orker's life is a goddamm shit in this country Fuck that country and fuck the people who are living in that country I'm a korean boilermaker who've worked in korea about 3 year and the reason of why I've ended up my career was that one of my fellow coworker, the welding guy had cut out his fingers by mistake during cutting the metal channel which has happened by the force from the supervisor to sped up the fucking work And what he've got? He've not even get hospitalized at the right time because of the force from the company so he lost his two finger How he've got compensated? A fukin 1800 dollar Did he won the court? No. Even though I was standing there as a witness for a testimony about 'supervisor forced him to do it abnormaly fast' The company got the fukin fancy lawyer and that's it Fuck that country I'm now living in Australia and making 132000 a year What I'd like to say about that country is just horrible I've hired my fellow friend here too 개씹 좆같은 국가임 ㄹㅇ 마스크? ㅈㄹ ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 삼성 고덕서 일할때도 마스크 제대로 쓰고 일하는 사람들 본적도 없고 감리라고는 왠 존만이들 와서 실무자한테 실권도 없이 휘둘리는거밖에 못봄 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
