When I compare the number of the dead people because of Lelouch as zero and then as the king of Britannia with the temporary peace and the possibility that Lelouch can change the world from the inside as the king of Britannia instead of killing himself and resting I remember how stupid I was when I cried for his death

Black Anime You make it sound like he was a terrible person and don’t give him enough credit, which is a little shortsighted. To me, he was a rather human character, imperfect and fallible. Every time Lelouch sacrificed people, his morality got the better of him when he realized it, despite his attempts to feel “zero” empathy on his path of blood. He always regretted it. And in the final hour, he sacrificed not only his life, but his reputation as a human being, as his way of atonement, because of the remorse he felt for his misdeeds. He will go down in history as a terrorist, a war criminal and a tyrannical dictator, and nobody will know what he did for the world. You have to have at least a shred of respect for that. It is absolutely okay to feel sad about his death, because of how much meaning and character growth it represents. The only people who should kill are those prepared to die themselves. He’s the polar opposite of Light Yagami from Death Note. It’s war, and war is ugly. People will inevitably die by someone’s hands, but it’s how they react to it that matters.

10:09 is the most iconic scene in the whole series. Suzaku always defended the idea that changing the Britania within and Lelouch always wanted to destroy the Britania. But in the end, Lelouch changed the Britania within like Suzaku always wanted, on the other hand, Suzaku destroyed the Britania by using Zero symbol like Lelouch always wanted.

It's more like they switched sides eventually. Lelouch destroyed Brittania from within, as Suzaku wished. And Suzaku destroyed Britannia as a terrorist, just as Lelouch wished.

They both got what the other person wanted, I think it's an official artbook or something that says Lelouch who wanted nothing more then to live on with his sister Nunally dies, while Suzaku who wanted to die for his crimes lived on as Zero.

Sunrise didn't do shit they tried to destroy this anime every step of the way. The team behind it was awesome, but Sunrise itself deserves no credit. Even to this day they still are treating it as second rate, not offering any announcement on Code Geass: Z of the Recapture.

Yes, Lelouch is a hero we didn't deserve but needed. Lelouch needed love and support but however he wasn't able to gain very much of it. Everyone needs emotional support during hard times especially teenagers. As a result, he had to abandon his humanity to save the future of everyone else still living.

@@drbrain4483 All peace is temporary. You never know when someone will try to conquer you country, or anything like that, but Lelouch made sure that people could live in a better world than what it was before his death. He also made it so if anyone did rise up, they'd have a near impossible task. He did this by having Suzaku be Zero, having Schneizel aid him, and Nunally rule. By doing this he ensured that the world would have a good person ruling it, and that if any threat did arise, that Suzaku, Schneizel, and the military would take care of it. Also, he couldn't change Britannia from the inside, and he most defiantly wouldn't have been able to do it before he got on the throne. I think why he wouldn't have been able to do it before he got on the throne, and why he had to kill all those people is pretty self explanatory. As for after he got the throne, he had to kill all the people he did. How would he stop Schneizel without killing anyone? And he had to Geass everyone he did because they wouldn't have allowed him to rule otherwise.

They do, it's just a rare thing overall. I think Vinland Saga and Attack on Titan are on the same level. Legend of the galatic heroes too. Maybe even better, since Code Geass has the nostalgia factor going for it.

@@alexp3577 It kinda matters because we don't get as much good originals as before anymore Structure of adapted stories as opposed to crafted for an anime from scratch is different and many people crave original anime because of that But adapting anime from manga/VNs/LNs has proven to be a lot cheaper and easier than making a story from scratch so chances of getting original anime are rather slim nowadays

3Viveking ## If you enjoyed code geass then I’d recommend you check out Legend of Galactic Heroes. It’s old and long but it inspired Code Geass in many ways. Lelouchs character and story are quite similar to Reinhard von Lohengramm.

@@scorpions7153 This is my Opinion. Opinion may differ and I respect yours :) I believe that the story in Code Geass was more perfectly structured. Death Note was a perfection till episode 25, after that (according to me) was only made to kill Light and make a "Good always win" ending. On the other hand we can see the dilema Lelouch faces after winning over britania and the steps he takes to end it all. I believe that the end-half of both of them is why I prefer Code Geass over Death Note. Also it is my humble belief that Death Note is a legendary anime till episode 12. After that it looses its charm on me. But still I respect ur opinion. Peace.

This is a real fucking masterpiece. I’m not just talking about the show, but this edit. Oh my god, you just made me re-experience the rollercoaster of emotions and conflicts that I did when I first watched the show. You’ve done a wonderful job capturing and highlighting the best aspects of this show; the bitterness, the isolation, the vulnerability, the humanity, the love, and the tragedy. There’s no right answer in this show and you summarized that beautifully. I love the editing mastery here with the brilliant cuts and pauses. This was just amazingly directed and put together. Zurik once again you've crafted an masterpiece and to me this is your greatest work, this anime holds such an special place in my heart. It pulled me out of the darkest depths, it gave me something to smile and laugh at, this was anime that allowed me to live from that lie what I created around myself. It was something that got me through the death of my Brother, his lost haunted me for so long and I thought nothing could pull me out of that dark place, but everything about this anime spoke me too on such a level no other series did. I thank you for giving me this video, I thank you for giving your community to let us experience our favorite characters and series, with the all the runs of emotion they bring. Conan, my little Brother. I miss you dearly. But someday, I'll see you again and that smile that you always had. Thank you Zurik, for allowing me to think of him and the positive light he gave to me, during his short time on this earth.

@@DemonReaper105 he did take human nature into account. he knows that it's in humanity's nature to constantly seek out happiness, no matter how long it takes. and also, didn't you watch "the princess and the witch"? r1 episode 5? in one of those scenes, lelouch and suzaku are both talking about changing the world in interludes. they have the same thoughts about it; the cycle of hatred has to be broken. except where suzaku doesn't know how to stop it, lelouch does. "when somebody wins, the fighting will end." and suzaku said that the one likely to stop the cycle won't make every problem go away. lelouch won the war. the fighting ended and not every single problem went away, just like suzaku said.

That's their greatest failing, failing to understand that it's in humanities very nature to seek both happiness and conflict, no matter what it is. They go hand in hand IMHO. Check out Legend of Galactic Heroes. It’s old and long but if you enjoyed Code Geass then you will love Reinhard von Lohengranm. Reinhard and Lelouch share many similarities as characters.

AOT manga spoilers⚠️ Yk what? You’re absolutely right. Before the last chapter, I would’ve considered giving it to Eren. But I feel like the way it was done didn’t give me the same feeling as when it was done in Code Geass. With Lelouch, it felt like that’s how it was supposed to end. He achieved his goal, even though it ultimately led to his death; he was prepared for that. With AOT, the way the last 20 chapters were going, they made it seem like Eren was going to be saved in the end. However, that wasn’t the case and apparently Mikasa killed him to be the one to show Ymir that you CAN kill someone you loved something like that. I was just expecting more from a story that started off so great.

Lelouch reminds me a lot of both Paul Atreides and Leto Atreides. Code Geass seems to be very much in the same vein as Dune.

Lelouch destroyed the world in order to create a new one. But in doing so, he was seen as a genocide ruler and he wouldn't be able to do it, so he acted as if he was a genocide ruler. Then, another person would be able to kill him, be seen as a hero, and reconstruct the world from where Lelouch left it. In a nutshell, he did the dirty work so someone could continue the work without getting dirty. All according to his plan. All Hail Lelouch!

Light is nothing like Lelouch. He is selfish, stupid and heartless. He didn't care about his family. He was supposed to "kill" only villans but than he wanted to kill everyone who was agaisnt him which got him die because he was sooo stupid. Lelouch is more kind and has an humain side compare to Light who didn't care about his family. His father died because of him, his sister get something I don't remember what. But Light treat ppl like shit. So no is really not the best anti villan compare to Lelouch who is smarter than him. And more human.

It's been a while since I watched Code Geass but this video renewed my feelings for it in that delightfully painful way. It is so well done, and carries across Lelouch's story and character perfectly. And here I thought I'd cried out all of my feelings the first few times I watched the show. I was proven wrong, haha.
