ZX6r 09 Fuel pump assembly

I had to change my fuel filter, it can be seen from the video that it was... well awful!
I didn't record the disassembly because it required a lot of fiddling, rage quitting for my nerves to cool down and some swearing...
Also, i forgot about it!
Filter bought from ebay as a Suzuki replacement.( Since Kawasaki does not offer it as a replacement part, duh!)

wqhy ui put the blue wire + into negative in down?

I put the wires the same way they were when i took it apart. This is correct and it's been working fine. Also, if you notice the wire length, it's difficult to put them the other way.

Question so my 2012 zx6 same model will not go past 8k rpm’s like it can’t dump any more fuel it feels like was your bike doing this? If so do you think it could be the filter as well?

It could be the filter, the pump itself or bad fuel. I would start by filing up at a station that you are 100% sure about its' quality. (you could also add an octane booster additive and see if it helps. Next would be the fuel filter and last option to test another fuel pump. Good luck!

There is another possibility...that your secondary injectors are clogged/not working. But i think those work after 10k rpm, not sure though

Smoother revving. It used to hold back for some miliseconds at specific rpms, after the filter swap it didn't hold back any more.

Hi bro, have you ever had jerking engine problem on your zx6? mechanic not sure if there is problem from fuel pump, I've done try so many ways to eliminate this problem, did not solve till today =( , but, to check the fuel pump condition, not yet.

I did this as maintenance, i had no issues. Well i thought i hadn't. It run much smoother with the new filter!! Have you checked for pinched fuel lines or clogged gas tank vents? What is exactly your issue? Does it jerk after specific rpms? You have an 09 also?

@@ftougmt yup, i got 09 zx6, jerking at 10k rpm, but sometimes at 8k rpm, just done cleaning the fuel injector & calibrate plus tuning back, on dyno machine its looks great, everythng smooth, just nice, but, once i ride in the highway, the jerking is coming back, sometimes, if im lucky, im just try to all out the throttle, try not to stay hold at 10k rpm, just go faster above 11k to 12k rpm & so on with no jerking at all, i've no idea if my fuel pump is malfucntion, because i've never ever facing fuel pump problem before, i think this is the perfect time to see what happen inside there.haha..why i'm not thinkng about fuel pump before..😂 , i try to find out what the sympthom if the fuel pump went to having problem..but the uncle Google not always have the answer..😌

I was about to tell you about the secondary injectors, did you clean all of them? But then you told me about the dyno and not having issues over 11k rpm... So...i have no idea. Try asking on www.zx6r.com it's a forum with a very good community. Do an introduction post and i'm sure we will al try to help you out.

milan512500 have you sort it out? Im having the same problem and mechanics has done valve clearance, total overhaul on the engine and throttle body sync but the problem still doesn’t go away...help me

The fuel filter? From ebay. Kawasaki also has them but you have to ask for some ATV fuel filter. It's the exact same part.

I don't really remember. But it's not only about the miles. If the bike is sitting for a long time, old gas turns into dirt or if you visit a gas station with dirty gas tanks, they transfer along with the gasoline into your tank. So if you have issues especially in high revs. You'd better look at the filter :)
