In this video, I show what is happening when your fuel is leaking into the engine after not running for a few hours, fuel leaks into the cylinders from the carbs, because the float valves are worn.
I also show how i remove stuck pilot screws, clean up jets and set float heights. synching the carbs afterwards.
sorry I haven't been able to upload a video for a few weeks, I've had a bad back due to an accident, where i was hit from behind in a works vehicle. I'm on the mend now though.

I’m glad you got that out but it was painful to watch. Did you spray any penetrant in there before trying to get the mixture screw out? Or even apply a small amount of heat locally, perhaps?

Larry Gee yeah, they were the first things I tried. I didn’t really like hearing it with my little torch, especially around petrol! 😑 I was very surprised how accurate my drilling was. It never is! Haha

Where did you buy your rebuild kits? How's the bike running after a carb clean?

Daniel Frank carbs work fine now. I got the kit from nrp carbs.

Nice vids I’ve got c2 gearbox gone so gonna put e1 engine in ecu loom carbs air box and clock any issues with your gearbox

@@davidpierce7318 I have only got an E2, no F model. But, the carbs are different on the F, I think they’re the same ones on the C models. E models are different to the rear of the 9s

@@davidpierce7318 I think they tried to improve them in the E, but realised they were worse so went back. I could be wrong completely, but it’s what I’ve read.

What for You drill carb? WD40, hot air and hammer. Thats all, what You need for removing pilot screw. Yeah, i know. Made in England.

Hey mate, i bougth a zx9r engine for a proyect, but i have trouble figuring out were all the houses go. The top one, were does it go. Do you have any tips for setting up the carbs??

Francisco Peña Petrizzio the top hose, coming from the front of the bike? That goes to the pipe to the right of the carbs, that splits into 4 onto each carb housing. It depends on which year engine you’ve bought. Best tip, is get a service manual for that engine. Makes everything simpler. Hope it goes well.

Take it easy on him. He's new to doing KZfaq so we need to cut him some slack. He knows about the audio and visual quality, so hang in there mate, I'm sure things will get better. We all have to start somewhere right ?

Yes. The sound turned out crap. Had to buy a new microphone for my camera. Absolutely gutted cause it is my best video! Haha 🙄
