ZZ Top has been together the longest, with no lineup changes, of any active musical group. And they kick ass. You should check out the studio recording of La Grange (I think you just did the live one before). Then Waitin for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago (these two tracks are always played together, kind of like Queen's We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions), Just Got Paid, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide, Blue Jean Blues, Fool For Yoiur Stockings... the list goes on.

This was from their first album I believe. ZZ Top has had the same three members for 50 years. The song can be either about drugs or a woman. This is classic Texas blues. Love your weekly specials too btw.

I first saw Billy Gibbons in 1968 when he played with his band The Moving Sidewalks as one of the backup bands for Jimi Hendrix at the Music Hall in Houston, Texas. The lineup was The Moving Sidewalks, Soft Machine, Neil Ford and the Fanatics, and of course the headliners The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

My buddy from Texas said back in the early 80's he saw ZZ Top in a wild Honky Tonk bar in Texas while stationed there while serving in the military. He said they damn near ripped the roof off of the place, people were completely losing their shit over that bad ass tone and their version of "Texas Southern Blues/Rock". They are an incredible live band experience & the older stuff is hardcore Blues Rock and I highly suggest you continue reacting to songs from their first 2 albums? You will absolutely love it. Jimi Hendrix once was asked on a 1970's tv show who influenced him and his sound and who does he look up to in the guitar world? He said without hesitation "Billy Gibbons". That is all you really need to know bro!

They didn't grow their beards out until much later or about mid way through their run. They took a break and went on a long vacation and when they met back up around 81 or so they found that neither had been shaving and just kept the beards. I think it was Gillette or Remington who said they would pay the band to shave them off using their razors

Try “Heard it On the X, a real banger. Stay with 1970’s ZZ Top, it’s their best work, IMO.

Their first four albums were more jam and less hooks; southern rock Allman Bros, Marshall Tucker, Lynrd Skynrd, and for more ZZ, Just Got Paid

I saw them when promoting their first album.. omg..there was only about 50 people there and we were passing around a joint.. I was up front and I passed it to Billy and he grabbed my hand and pulled me up on the stage.. danced with him and Dusty..We passed around a bottle of jack.. was insane! Question.. do you know what Brown Sugar is?

@Patrol Gaming - Thumbs down for closing your eyes through most of the video... I basically came here to watch you react to the pictures, and you missed all the interesting ones. This "reaction" video literally was one of the most frustrating watching experiences of my life.
