What about 6-7 knots what's your consumption? Will she run on one motor?
@makeithappen20215 күн бұрын
We haven’t really tried one motor, and were advised against it, but I’m sure it would. At 6-7kts it’s around 6lph combined or less. It does 4.5kts at idle speed…
@shanelikesbikes3 күн бұрын
@@makeithappen2021we only run both motors when either leaving or entering a anchorage or marina , as do most catamaran owners , save heaps on fuel and wear and tear , we also met a family last year on a similar boat to yours up on Thursday Island towing a 4.5 tinny with a 60 hp tiller , perfect little fishing set up

@makeithappen202113 күн бұрын
Hey, yeah its a 3.3 Discovery. Definitely big enough & nice and light. I guess it depends on what you use it for hey. Our friends have a 4m and its huge. I've never seen a 2.8 in person but I reckon they'd be a great platform if you were space poor for transport.

Hey mate, yeah the Seatrek is a great small boat! I had know that boat very well so it wasn’t a shock of how good it was. In my opinion the KC24 is a lot better/bigger boat. But of course right? That said, the Seatrek and the smaller KC are awesome on fuel and go the same places so they’re hard to beat

Finally out fishing! Not sure of space on the front deck but have you considered a davit arm and winch to put the dinghy on the front deck on fishing days? The davit arm and winch wouldn't need to be a particularly high rating so could be made removable.
