I expected this to be a very dark and harrowing documentary. Some of it was dark and harrowing, but I was amazed by how much hope and determination all of these people had. They had endured so many people's worst nightmares, living in awful conditions, many addicted to drugs, routinely kicked down by greater society. But through their struggles they have gained wisdom, and they were all still hopeful for a better future. I would not blame these people for being bitter and hopeless, I expected them to be. But it couldn't be further from the truth, they are loving and hopeful people.

I'm from the UK, my sister used to be an air hostess for British Airways. She took me to Vegas with her for a trip. The last night we argued as sisters do 😅 i ended up walking back to the hotel alone at 6am. As i walked past a homeless woman, i felt so bad i only had 2 dollars on me. She invited me to sit with her and I'm so glad i did. Shortly after, her friend with a guitar walked by and joined us. He started playing and singing. It honestly was the best memory of Vegas, they were so happy to share their stories and the look of commuters walking past was priceless.

I’m convinced that the war on drugs is likely to be responsible for this problem. Addiction is a disease and prohibition is not working as people go to dealers and buy the nasty stuff that is killing them. If drugs were sold in licensed shops under medical supervision they would have access to clean drugs this would dramatically change their lives for the better
