I had my l200 mot after 1 year sat still i hit a sleeping policeman not a man but a bumo in the road to slow speeders and well all lights cane on it went into limp mode and code read the comman rail sensor so i found out a ford transit one and mitsubishi one are exactly the same aoart from the price the mitsubishi was 8 pounds more expensive obviously i bought the cheaper so them fixed out of limp mode for an hour until anither bumo then suction valve. Same thing more exoensive bought the ford version...then on and on with one thing after another the sensor in the airbox and now i have rear wheel drive lights on and anti skid lights flashing and its a bloody nightmare they are pieces of crap to work with great drive nice style to look at but mexhanically an electronically unfair as made to jyst drain ur time money and energy i wouldnt mind im hapoy with just rear wheel drive now i have to buy relays and actuator pump pipes and all kinds of messing im not sure if diffs are siezed engaged or what but if it drives ok u shoukdnt have to change things they dont really need by the way i put the old parts back on it and it works fine its a scam to make u mess around an buy parts...use it or lose it yes but once its been activated a bit shouldnt just be wrote off like this robbing gits everything has a shelf life these days nothings made to last an they say its the poor of the world consuming when the elite waste more than a thousand of us mere mortals per day with their fancy jets and functions wasting all kinds of our hard earned cash its a joke esoecially when u understand what the name in capital letters means in kaw the strawman legal fiction great video called meet your strawman and another called everythings a rich mans trick or money as debt it kind of wakes u up they had light bulbs and batterries that last forever but then they made no money once everyone had one so they got together on jackyl island to create the federal reserve orint money from thin air the imf is the biggest war mongering terrorists sorry rants iver but needed saying...

When I bought my 2000 Montero sport the alternator was bad. The guy I bought it from said we replaced the valve cover gasket and it still leaks. It was the front camshaft seal .

Good evening. I'm from Jamaica. My 2001 Montero sport is over heating and the water leaving the radiator as well and the over flow bottle bubbles up. Can someone assist me plz

Gradually everything shuts down, as car tries to conserve power for critical functions, christmas tree as dash lights up. When rectifier goes it'll pump out 17v and ends up frying your battery until it drops a cell, hence the 9v, continued jumping my car to get me through the week, ended up frying 3 cells and new battery required plus the alternator. 14.4 - 14.8v is what it should be.

You need some AN fittings not hose clamps
@jime.angulo415119 күн бұрын
for the operating pressure of this system, hose clamps should be able to handle it. AN fittings may look nicer but are not required. Thanks man.

por favor dígame por qué la velocidad del motor cae a 500 rpm cuando el selector de marchas está en la posición "D o R"
@jime.angulo415119 күн бұрын
cae a esa velocidad porque la ECM cree que es normal. Talvez algo anormal con la señal del MAF or TPS. Checa los voltages en esos componentes.

Great Job, very helpful Jim. I really appreciate your work and you sharing the installation. I REQUIRE my 2 young adult sons to watch your channel. One has a 2002 Montero Sport 4x4 V6 that we do ALL the work on together. We just completed the timing belt and water pump after watching your great informative video. He only uses the Montero to pull his boat to Lake Mead 5 or 6 times a year from Las Vegas and with189,000 still runs and drives GREAT. You help so many.......Thanks again. "HP" Just for info, I lived in Manhattan Beach just down the road from you prior to retiring and moving to Las Vegas.

Excellent video. Montero's have many annoying "tricks" when working on them. Simple things like changing RHS plugs LOL. Anyway, some tricks I found were the crank angle sensor has a U shaped groove that sits either side of the crank angle timing plate (behind the crank pulley). At TDC the sensor is front and rear of the plate and cant be removed unless plate is rotated to clear it and likewise to reinstall the plate as I think you saw. Ok if neither is removed. Second trick is the accessory plate can't be removed due to 1 AC bolt. It is the one between C and the lower B bolts you show at the 35 minute mark. If you use a thin blade on a angle grinder and cut the AC mount ear off you will save 4 hours of work as no need to remove PS pump or aircon pump as you can now simply pull out accessory plate. Keep the little ear and use like a washer to put bolt back in. It does bugger all anyway. Goodluck to all who work on these demons 😂

Excellent. fixed lean condition and long term fuel trims, should make a huge difference in fuel milage, as will the new plugs and wires. I used a metric 0-ring 10x2.5, seemed to fit perfect. Also consider the o-ring in the MAP sensor.
