I used a chemical guys torqx 8mm for a long time. I upgraded to this and it stalls SO easy. Been told to do a washer mod so may have to look into thatv

Great video. I have always seen the iron decontamination and the clay bar done as 2 different steps but your'e way makes sense. Also, can you use a wheel cleaner as the iron decontamination on your paint? Thanks!

shouldnt you rinse the iron off instead of rubbing it back into the paint?

Can I use the product after I wash the car and rinse it out?
@gelucci862 ай бұрын
One step is a one step. There will be some marks remaining. It is normal. There is no reason in making 2 or 3 one step passes. Just make a multi step paint correction instead.

What are your thoughts on Torq X from Chemical Garage?8mm throw compaired to Maxshine M15.....what would you buy.....btw....this is for home use....dyi
@user-yb2tp4qf1r5 ай бұрын
You are very right, but I do like these clay blocks since they are much easier to use, if use gently and with good lubrication they don't create marring in the paint and for lazy DIY guy like me 70-80 precent + iron remover is just enough 🙂

Have you tried the shinemate ex620? I've had mine for a while now and it's amazing. The M15 seems to have a reputation for stalling, the Shinemate is opposite.

I'm not doubting what you're saying is true but most people that will be using synthetic clay towels, blocks or mits on cars will be on cars that are much newer and only needs a light detail .. I would never attempt to detail a car that old on my own.. I would send it to a professional..

Would you recommend the Griot's G9 over the Maxshine M8s V2? I'm new to polishing and I'm a weekend warrior who likes working on his own cars.
@acoupetroop617 Жыл бұрын
That paint is not hammered at all. Try working on a 150k plus miles on with no buff ever done on it. Then you can say it's hammered
@WillyD1 Жыл бұрын
I wish you’d show a soft sticky Honda black paint cause I’m losing sleep over that too and there’s so much compounds out there
@NextLevelAutoDetail Жыл бұрын
There is no perfect compound or polish for sticky paint. It’s the application. Heat is the enemy of sticky paint. So long throw machines or forced rotation is not ideal for sticky paint. The best method is to use a 8mm free spinning da. On a lower speed with a polishing pad. Don’t over work the area with faster arm movements.

@in2detailing Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate you taking the time to teach and explain how to be more efficient. I think of a one step as a paint enhancement and explaining to your customer the different results that can be achieved between a one step enhancement or two step compound and polish.
