My favorite T. Kingfisher that I have read so far is easily A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking. I think that T. Kingfisher shines in YA/middle grade stories ☺ Also, as someone who also adores Howl's Moving Castle (both the book and the movie), I'd say to maybe not get too hyped up for the sequels 😅While book 3 is cute, albeit nothing special imo, book 2 has some uncomfortable and possibly problematic content. I'm not sure that the portrayal of the middle eastern-like culture was done with enough tact, imo 🥲 On a happier note, the best books I have read so far this year are 1. Rook & Rose trilogy by M.A. Carrick (I have absolutely fallen in love with these characters and world 🥺I'm currently reading book 3) 2. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a masterful character exploration that I highly enjoyed (both the book and the movie) 3. The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo - I picked the audiobook on a whim early this year and was completely charmed by it. And I say that as someone who has no prior knowledge of The Great Gatsby whatsoever.

I’ve come to terms with losing/leaving my job and embracing something new. Obviously nervous but also excited. I’m pretty indecisive so it feels good to make a decision, takes some of the anxiety away.

I imagine I could spend a full weekend in Daiso I'm half way through The Fifth Season and I'm enjoying it but there's a few confusing elements - I guess I just have to wait for those things to make sense later. Kudos one being able to vlog so well, it sucks that you lost your original beginning but from my end it didn't affect the overall video which was top.

I couldn't agree more with you on The Catcher in the Rye. I read it as an adult (I was around 40-ish) and I just wanted to punch that guy. That said I can't say I hate the book. I don't love it but every book that's well writen and makes me feel something (even if it's a visceral hate for the main protagonist) I consider worth reading.
