You can sometimes find the Yamaha MS-1 on Amazon m, but usually eBay is your best bet. Search for things like “Game Elements Yamaha MS-1”, “PS2 handlebar controller”, etc. In the States the Yamaha’s are easier to find than the Thrustmaster Freestyler. It took me awhile to find the Thrustmaster on eBay.

Yoo... My hero! Even if you can't answer my question. Lol I need to know if you can play with your motorcycle handlebars with the game, "descenders (playstation 4)" No pressure so even if it's not possible. Don't worry about it! You have served me well just uploading anything to do with any kind of gaming controller!!! Just so you know I'm extremely grateful for any information I may encounter in your videos and I will do my best to show you how much I appreciate the info by sharing your channel at any chance if I remember!!!! Just for you 😊 : be yourself! I'm not like anyone else!! I say everything without expecting anything in return, you don't have to acknowledge me at all, it's hard to do your best with outside influences, I can't take my own, but maybe my only viable advice (since I can't take my own advice lol) would be that,,,, the more encouragement or confidence we gain from outside forces that criticized, corrected, or see what was considered the best of ability in our work/hobbies/Passion's... It's a tough life, (you may not agree) but not impossible, I think I'll be benefiting from your videos so for me today I didn't waste any time, I wanted to post my appreciation but you deserved my full respect after just listening to one of your uploads 😊😊 thanks again,,, I'm not stupid so I know what goes into confidence, anxiety, passion, our art, and how a smile is usually overshadowed by the need to share with fellow people so they never need to experience the pain we understand will always pull on our souls 💖😞🤤

You should check out the comic book series 'JOE BAR team' which is based on a French motorcycle gang from the late 70s, early 80s... from the 2nd book onward, they had some new characters added, one of them is a short guy... with the nickname 'gnome' and his bike is the V-MAX... funny as hell!

They’re a lot of fun to use, but a controller is actually a little more precise if you’re trying to race against others online. But racing IOM:TT, MotoGP, or Ride against (competition level adjustable) “computer” opponents using the handlebars are a lot of fun. I didn’t realize Brook stopped making the converters. You can probably set up an eBay alert to see if one gets listed. It’s actually called a Brook Super Converter PS2 to PS3/PS4. Yes, I like the Thrustmaster Freestyler Bike controller a little better than the Yamaha MS-1. It seems that it’s built a little more solid and I like being able to hit the switch to go between MX and GP mode. The problem is that the Thrustmasters are kind of hard to find in the U.S. so if you can’t find them, the Yamaha’s are still pretty good (and easier to find).

@steveclark5206
@steveclark5206 9 ай бұрын
Hi. Yes it can. You just need to get the correct Brook Super Converter. Look for one that’s labeled “PS2 to xxxxx (Xbox One, etc). Just be sure to update the converters software before starting to use it. I didn’t do that at first, and it would disconnect every 15 minutes or so. The reason was the Converter sends out a signal to the console every little while, and it needs to receive a confirmation signal back. If it doesn’t receive the signal it thinks it’s not an authorized controller. Plug the Converter into a usb port in a PC or laptop and go to the Brook website and it will instruct you how to update the software. It only takes a few minutes.

Hi maybe you guys can help me. I've been struggling to get my head tracking to work correctly. I have the Rii i7 mini but I when I launch WT on the PS4 it doesn't seem to fully recognize the air mouse. I can move the i7 back and forth while in the cockpit and it does nothing. Now the weird part. If I try to actually look around with my head I get nothing. But if I press the look button and rub my finger on the front of the i7(almost as if it's a touch pad), I get head movement. Can't for the life of me figure how to make it work with simple head movements though, only with my finger, which of course won't work. Any ideas what might be going on? Regardless of my issues though this is a killer video and I appreciate it.

Only to then realized that if i want to be good i have to look arround precisely (tried to get it with DS4 Gyro first, not precise enough). I really would love to try VR but unfortunately i don't have quite the financials to switch to PC. If you have any other questions just let me know, or take a look in the comments and I might have answered a similar question that might help. Thanks for watching! I just used this adapter I bought online for about $20. You plug in the hdmi cable and digital optical plug from your PS4 into it, then run another hdmi cable from the adapter to the tv. You don’t have to do it this way if your tv has a headphone jack built into it. If it has a headphone jack you just plug the buttkicker into the tv headphone jack and you’ll be all set. This adapter lets you easily use either the headphones or surround sound receiver without having to continuously switch out cables and plug/unplug cables to switch between HPhones and SS. ***Adapter FYI: it supports up to 1080p HD resolution, but it DOES NOT support 4K! *** www.agptek.com/product/agptek-hdmi-to-hdmi-spdif-rca-l-r-audio-extractor-converter-hdmi-inputhdmi-audio-output/ If you want to plug it into your TVs headphone jack to send the sound info to the BK2, just use an RCA to male 3.5mm cable. www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-6-3-5mm-mini-to-rca-stereo-audio-cable-black/4408001.p?skuId=4408001

Just in case that old link doesn’t work. And like I said, if your tv has a headphone port (and you don’t use you tv speakers to hear your game and use a surround sound system) you can just plug the BKG2 into that. Remember to turn your sound on your tv up to 100% to send sound to the BKG2 and use the BKG2 receiver to control the power/volume/gain of the “rumble”. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qqyngq2Y3t2xhHk.html

How's the throttle on your Yamaha MS-1 after all these years? I've bought a couple used ones in the past and actually rewired them to play my Harley-Davidson LA Riders arcade PCB but eventually the throttle spring broke off after long play sessions, which sucks cuz I was actually having fun playing the game with it. I failed putting it back together but maybe I was opening it wrong, as all the wiring is nicely labeled and connected to a motherboard in the internal PCB on the front cover. Whatever you do, STAY AWAY from the Interact Xcellerator, which was an PS1/N64 peripheral for the console's bike games. I had a nightmare taking that thing apart and it won't work well with the Brook Super Converter either.

Yes, it’s that long from the factory. You can keep the joystick and throttle together as one unit or stretch them apart so they're on each side like I did. How did you get your iPhone as a digital display with your iPhone

@steveclark5206 Жыл бұрын
It’s wireless. The game must support UDP, which allows telemetry (speed, RPMs, temps, etc) to be sent from the game to an app like ***RS Dash*** that I use. Your console and the device (iPhone, iPad, tablet, etc) must be connected on the same internet connection for it to work properly. I have several different internet zones in my house, so I use my PS4 and telemetry apps on my internet connection named “Zone 1”. If my PS4 was connected via Zone 1 but my iPad/iPhone was on Zone 2 they wouldn’t be able to communicate. Only a few PS4 racing games support UDP though, Project CARS and the F1 games do. RS Dash app has a lot of options for different games, but a lot of them are for PC games because most of those support UDP.

TL;DR A joystick is fun and more natural to fly with, but it’s not required and using a controller just takes some practice and adjustments to get good with. Hi. A joystick and throttle (HOTAS/Hand On Throttle And Stick) is much more immersive and “natural” compared to using a controller. But I’ve seen some excellent pilots who use a controller (or keyboard and mouse). If you can find one at an affordable price, I’d definitely recommend getting it. Mine is the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS 4 and it has the ability to twist so you can also use it as a rudder. I decided to use the Thrustmaster TFRP (Thrustmaster Flight Rudder Pedals) because I found it more natural to use instead of twisting the grip. Hope that helps you make the decision.

Unfortunately there’s no easy way to swap out bars like you would a steering wheel on most sim racing bases like the Thrustmaster T300. You might be able to disassemble it, lengthen certain wires, and relocate the electronics to work with the throttle, brake, etc. But I don’t think the base is strong enough to support actual metal handlebars so you’d probably need something light(er) weight like 3/4 or 1” pvc to use as bars.

Yes, you can. As long as you hold down whichever button you’ve programmed as “look-around” it’s easy and natural to track another plane during a dogfight. Because I just tried using DS4 moving sensor gyro for look around but it keep recalibrating and become useless. @@ulungprabowo I had the same issue with the DS controller, it wouldn’t track for very long before losing calibration. No issues at all with the “air mouse” as it stays calibrated with no issues. You don’t have to use the Rii I used, any presentation mouse/remote that has Bluetooth and a gyro sensor should work. And consider adding the clip so you can attach it to a hat or headphones. Makes it a lot more accurate and easier to use since in that position it’s almost perfectly lined up with you line of vision. And yes, I found it helped on War Thunder arcade mode, but realize in that mode the * before your name lets all the PC users know you’re on a PlayStation so they’ll swarm you looking for an easy kill. That’s because they’re using a mouse & keyboard and just need to put the cursor on your plane and click the mouse button to fire and kill you (it’s basically like they have auto-bot aiming). You actually have to fly and maneuver the plane using a controller or joystick. If you play the other modes like Realistic and Simulator you’ll have a better chance. I’ve found that Realistic is the most challenging and fun. Simulation is awesome but you better have a button box and joystick because you have to manage a lot (!) of different aircraft controls (trim, flaps, propeller pitch, etc.).

Why they don't just make this moto simulations, compatible with motion controller ? I bought Ps4 second hand few months ago ( i play on computer mostly ) , and i tried GT Sport with motion controller, and it is very good to handle, i tried to see if it was compatible with "Moto Gp" ( 17 cause the guy gave me one bag full of games, and Moto GP 17 was inside ), and not at all, i was really disappointed, because i think it is a very goid potential for Motos games..

Where do I get something like that from?

Counts on where you are. In the States, it’s pretty easy to find the Game Elements Yamaha MS-1 handlebar controller on eBay and it’s even sometimes available on Amazon. Like everything else lately, the prices have skyrocketed. Honestly, I wouldn’t pay more than $75 for a set. You will probably be faster using a regular controller. But if you’re really into motorcycle games and don’t mind buying the Brook Super Converter, they can be fun and immersive. The Thrustmaster Biker handlebar controller are a little better and seem to be easier to find in Europe. It took me quite awhile to find a set here in America on eBay and I like them just a little better than the Yamaha MS-1. Check out some of my other videos for the motorcycle shaped static sim rig I’m building.

The only thing i dislike about this thing is, it was made for PS2 but it's got that "i think i'm Nintendo so i'm not dropping my price" issue for a somewhat outdate product.

No doubt. The prices for old controllers like these MS-1s and the Thrustmaster Freetyler Bike have skyrocketed the past couple of years. There are enough bike sims out there so I wish the controller manufacturers would start making new handlebars. Even the PS2 had snowboard, arcade fighting sticks and guitar controllers so there is a market out there for oddball gaming peripherals.

Greetings, I just purchased this Yamaha Motorbike controller and it's coming later this week. I have a question though. What's the build quality like? I'm very curious about it because I kept hearing a few reviews about the unit and some folks claim that it feels cheap and it's very fragile. I brought it because I'd prefer novelty controllers. I'm planning on using this to play Tourist Trophy for the PS2 and Arcade motorcycle games on the MAME arcade emulator in my PC. What's your opinion about it when you play a specific game using this thing? 🤔

Hi. The quality isn’t too bad. Not as tough as the full size Sega motorcycle games that were in the arcade a long time ago, but the Yamaha’s are not overly fragile. If yours comes with it, there’s a flat plastic piece you put between your legs and kind of sit on so you can use the handlebars sitting in your lap. That part IS fragile. I have it but have never used it, and it’s thin plastic. I’d say the Thrustmasters are better built but harder to find and more expensive. If kids or adults who are rough on things use them the they do risk breaking. I use them on IOM:TT, MotoGP, Ride, and a few other games. I’d say Motocross games are probably the toughest on them because of all the fast and hard steering inputs you have to do. So as long as no one is overly abusive on them the handlebars should hold up. If you have problems getting your Yamaha’s to work with your system(s), check out Brook Gaming for converters. That’s what I use to get the handlebars to work on my PS4.

@@steveclark5206 thanks for your comment. The unit I purchased came with suction cups instead of the clamp. I can't wait to experience my motorbike games using this thing 😁. I'll let you know what my thoughts are. I already got a Super brook converter so, I should have no problems

They are Thrustmaster Cougar MFD. You get two of them for $90, and can usually find them on Amazon, B & H Photo Video or sometimes eBay. Just an FYI though: the center “display” is just a photographic image and not an actual video screen. Only the buttons on the perimeter actually work and there isn’t a “screen”. This link is for the UK, but it gives you some info. Disregard that it says for PC, because it works for the PS4 as well on games that support keyboards, like War Thunder and Ace Combat. Just think about buying a USB 3.0 hub because the PS4 only has two USB ports. You can see mine in the video it’s on the shelf to the right of the rig and has blue and red port lights. shop.thrustmaster.com/en_gb/mfd-cougar-pack.html
